You're a quality poster. Don't just make **** up. There's plenty of dipshits around here to do that.

1.4 M for the Trinidad fight is pretty crazy. It stood as the non-HW record for almost 10 years until the PFB/DLH fight. But the Mosley I fight had to be a considerable disappointment.

no, but floyds american and the americans are a cockooned lot, he talks a lot of trash and easier to indentify

my point was its hard to compare pacq and floyd figures when facing hatton, because many people would've seen hatton as damaged goods when seeing floyd ram is head to the turnbackle, then for pacquiao/hatton to do those numbers with no american involved, no good/evil, against an already defeated hatton with that shine taken of his a better achievement then the 915k may/hatton did

When has Floyd ever shown to be an unreasonable negotiator? He's promoted himself in 3 fights now including the JMM fight. He gave in to all of Oscar's demands, Marquez is getting his biggest payday and Floyd gave in to the weight demands, and Floyd actually got ripped off against Hatton.

Of course JMM-PBF should do higher numbers than JMM-Pac. At the time Pac fought JMM, he hadn't fought DLH or Hatton yet. Look at PBF's numbers BEFORE Hatton/ODLH...none of them bigger than JMM-Pac.

:good:goodManny and Floyd should be very grateful now. They are fairly mainstream and can do very good to great ppv numbers now because of their fights with DLH and Hatton.

JMM/Floyd will do more than JMM/Pac because Floyd stock now is greater than Pac's was then and JMM's stock is greater now than it was then.

I'm pretty sure that will go over very well during negotiations. I'm sure Mayweather will have no problem taking the smaller purse against a guy who does worse numbers against the same opposition. I mean, Hatton was undefeated. You can throw out all the reasons in the world, the numbers are the numbers. Hopefully, Arum doesn't stand firm with his demand that Pac get 60-65% of the purse against Mayweather.

Actually it not so cut and dry. All elements involving ppv numbers and revenue have to be considered including the state of the economy, win vs losses ect. Rick and dlh had prior losses to floyd during a vastly different economic state. Considering that Pac put up similar numbers in a far more difficult landscape the argument will be made that Pac deserves the lions share. When the general public make surface level presumptions it holds no value when the experts and business execs lay everything out for negotiations.

Mayweather dosn't even sell out his fights unless the person he is fighting has a following,,,,mayweather/marguez i don't even think it is PPV, an i sure it will not even sell out. Hatton/Dlh brought mayweather his big #'s,,,,i went to castillo/mayweather 2 fight, i was there for the klitschko/mcline, which was the main event,,,,an most of the people that were there for the mayweather/castillo undercard were mexican, an most of the arena filled up after there fight was over for the Klitschko matchup...

He was unreasonable originally but ultimatly conceeded on the weight issue with Marquez. With Judah he was also unreasonable at first but came to terms. He usually starts off asking for too much or making unreasonable demands but in the end does what needs to be done to get the fight made which is why I said that I think that the 2 will be able to come to terms.

Another variable that must be considered when comparing Pacquiao/Marquez 2 with Mayweather/Marquez is that the latter will have a 24/7 promotion behind it.

That's called negotiating. You ask for a ridiculous amount, and then you agree to terms to what you realistically believed you could get. The point I was making is that you don't see fights with Floyd not come off because of hardline negotiating tactics on Floyd's behalf. You do see that with guys like Hopkins and Wright all the time.
