On sheer ability as opposed to achievements etc. I think there really are only 2 serious candidates but I included the `other` option because I know I`ll need it.

For me, Mayweather is a better boxer than Roy Jones, he is better technically in the basics, a true artist.
No-one touches Roy for physical athleticism but FMJ is also extremely athletic too so wont be left trailing here either.

All in all, I think Mayweather is the best boxing talent since Whitaker.

    Thoughts ? :think

Jones by a clear margian in terms of talent.

He could do things in a boxing ring that other truley great fighters couldnt dream of.

From 1993-2002 he lost lest rounds than he had fights.

Mayweather is more talented than Roy. Roy is the better athlete though.

    Gone for Floyd.

Roy's talent was more to do with athleticism than pure Boxing skill.

A past prime/Shot Floyd wouldnt detieriote at the rate of knots Roy did. So on Boxing Skill, I go Floyd.

Their both close but I give an edge to Floyd with skill, but I give the athletic and strategy advantage to a prime Jones.

I have to go with Roy, he was an elemental force of nature, whereas Floyd is more about mind games and tricky little techniques, so it's like Zeus vs Loki

Roy could do things in the ring that no other fighter could do not even floyd.

If we are talking only about talent you can put other fighters in the list. Take Judah for example. his downfall was not the lack of talent it was the lack of heart, focus and chin but he is extremly talented.

I voted for floyd but the question confused me... Floyd is a master boxer, jones relied on his athleticism rather than knowledge. Jones=More talent Floyd=Better "boxer" This question is impossible to answer lol
