Did Sultan Ibragimov really retire?

  1. I sure hope not. He would be an awesome matchup for a lot of the top HWs

Yeah I think so, he was disapointed with his loss but there's nothing shameful, he was in style disadvantage. He could give a tough fight to the new comers like Arreola, Chambers... I'm just wondering what's he's gonna do now, the guy probably just boxed his whole life and he comes from a small town in Russia.

Count his money and face Mecca 5 times a day is a good guess.

I just read on a russian boxing site that he wants to fight again by the end of summer. He was out for so long cause of the problems with his promotion company, i think. But he's defenitely returnig. Thats what he said. I hope he does cause he is a really good fighter

Apparently, he's invested his earnings well and really has no desire to come back.

At least that's the last I've heard of it. If someone else has anything else more recent to add, I'm sure they will.

Interesting. Always good to see another skilled HW in the mix. I think he could pick up another title.

It would be a treat to see the old Sultan take him apart- aside from Wlad, he really knew how to fight big fighters. I hope when he does return, that he goes back to the fan-friendly style that got him near the top of the division in the first place.

Sultan is one of the fastest HWs today. He should be a good test for the up and comers.

It would be terible if he changed his style to a safety first. I hope the loss does not affect him in that matter

That's what I had in mind. I'd give him a very good chance against Chagaev too.

I think Chagaev can beat him but he does have a chance
