height 5′ 8″ / 173cm
reach 72″ / 183cm


Manny Pacquiao
height 5′ 6½″ / 169cm
reach 67″ / 170cm

Mayweather is the bigger man. End of Story. This should end the thread as there really is nothing else to discuss.

Pacquiao and Cotto both are the same size and same reach. Height and reach have nothing to do with how big a fighter is. Roy Jones is 5'11, 74 inch reach, Paul Williams is 6'1 82 inch reach. Is Paul Williams a light heavyweight?

Its about what weight you fight at. Pac has shown tht he is comfortable at 140 and 147 and Roach says that he has 1 punch knock out power at 140, something he didnt have in the lower weights.

Floyd is a small welter. There is no real size advantage in this fight.

so if i'm a fighter who wants to assimiliate to a higher weight, say, i am coming up from 130/135 to 140. i should fight at an even higher weight like a catchweight of 143/144?

A 2 inch advantage in height and most importantly a 5 inch (FIVE INCHES!!!) reach advantage to Mayweather makes no difference?
