When did Kessler get 'well beaten' by Calzaghe?

He dominated the first third of the fight with his jab and hurt Calzaghe a few times before Joe took over..... but IMO it was competitive throughout.

 

how disrespectful to compare a great man and fighter like mikkel kessler to that racist white american tommy morrison. kessler has earned his spot as the number 1 super middle and morrison was just a media hype

I don't know if he is underrated at the moment as anytime you have been on the receiving end of a bad knockout or two (Abraham II and Pavlik) it can change you permanently (see Ricky Hatton as a current example). But, I guess we will see what he has left against Andre Ward this weekend. He sure went from "Hero to Zero" as you said though. Nice line.

kessler is a good fighter who would win a clear ud over miranda, just because you fight good comp and lose does not make you a good fighter and when " white fighters" do the same they arent always heralded as heroic case and point ricky hatton he lost to the 2 best fighters of the last decade and everyone is saying he is overrated and should retire, this needs to be judged on a case by case basis and generalisms should not be made in feeble attempts to play the race card to promote a fighter who has had his shot and lost in 3 attempts now ( 2 times to abraham and once to pavlik ) and by the way got knocked silly by both of them. The racism issue could easily be made in to a reverse discrimination issue in boxing think about it had calzaghe said il never lose too a black boy he would have never heard the end of it from the media and would have been chased out of the sport annd called a racist and everything thing you could think of but when hopkins says il never lose to a white boy hes playing mind games

Kessler is one of the better fighters out there, but unfortunately he failed to prove it the last year. The man is in his prime, he should absolutely fight the big names now, but he's having trouble with his promoter... sad, very sad. He's not ducking people. I give him a good chance at beating anyone at SMW and LHW, including Chad Dawson.

David Haye is one of my favourite fighters, but I'd have to say yes, it is. Not that those achievements are nondescript.... if I had the time I would think a little deeper and come up with some more names.

Fragomeni has come through and done well since their fight, fair enough.

Mormeck hasn't fought since and was past his best - though the victory in his back yard having been decked was an excellent one.

Maccarinelli was just a typical Frank Warren WBU/WBO turkey who didn't even win his title, it was given to him. After an easy comeback fight against Mathew Ellis he was banjoed by Ola Afolabi, who is basically the Steve Forbes of the cruiserweight division.

Kessler didn't lose a round in any of the three fights mentioned, and he also totally outclassed Librado Andrade..... who was about three seconds away from stopping Lucian Bute.
