This BS about Lennox getting "stopped on his feet" has got to stop. Getting stopped on your feet is what Vitali did to Sanders and Gomez. Getting knocked down getting up and stumbling like a drunk is NOT getting stopped on your feet. :roflatsch
lewis was in talks for many big fights at the time of the klitchsko fight, but after the result an public wanting a rematch,,,lewis passed up several big pay days an retired,,,yea i call that chicken,,,,
You really must have been watching a different fight. Perhaps you didn't recognize the one fighter because he looked like he was hit by a truck. In fact he was so disfigured the doctor stepped in to stop the fight as there was a danger of permanent injury. It's a shame you missed it..great fight.
Nope. Lewis is the only top level HW champ taken out early twice by ordinary fighters like McCall and Rahman.
Tell me about it! Lewis is so overrated on this forum it's ridiculous. These nuthuggers actually rate him higher than Holyfield!:rofl:rofl:rofl
Now that is funny, you calling people nuthugers and then showing the fighter who you most nut coddle. Plus some laugh signs. :rofl. Smooth Zak. :good
Lennox has never been iced from "one punch", unless you also consider every knockout ever by anyone to be a "one punch" KO. In both cases he had been hit by punches before the KO. If you have ever even sparred you will know that the effects of a punch can last minutes, therefore you can't say it was only the final punch that that KO'd him. Oh, and there aren't that many legit & undisputed former champions to choose from, so it's not like he's the only one out of thousands to have lost to fighters he was supposed to beat. He is one of the only ones to avenge all of his losses though. :deal
With good reason, you clown. Compare their resumes! This 'Chinchecker' brigade is ****ing ******ed. He was KO'd twice, so what? Lewis >>>> Holyfield If you actually analysed boxing instead of jacking off over Trailer Park Series and Glass Jaws.... you may learn something. Eventually.
I have. For the most part, they fought comparable guys throughout their career. In fact, in many cases, the SAME guys. Here are the key differences: Unlike Lewis, Holyfield was never taken out early by second rate fighters in the heart of his career. In fact, in his prime, he was only stopped once, and it took 8 rounds and a near-peak Riddick Bowe to do it, who was one of the four best guys of the era. Second, unlike Holyfield, Lewis NEVER took on any of the other three top guys of the era (Holyfield, Tyson and Bowe) when they were at, or even near, their best. He fought a seriously diminished version of Holyfield and a washed-up Tyson. Holyfield, on the other hand, fought, and beat, a PRIME Riddick Bowe, and a Tyson who still had a lot left and had just won a title. Lewis waited til these guys got old, or, in the case of Bowe, didn't fight them at all.
