    because of;
    1) moving up in weight
    2) beating the bigger man
    3) beating a great boxer with power and will
    4) leonard and floyd were undefeated
    5) any other reasons?

Or would it not be as good because

    1) neither are anywhere near duran and leonards level?
    2) Floyds been inactive and might not be in his prime
    3) Pac isnt as old as floyd as duran was leonard
    4) any other reasons

I know its a massive IF because they might not fight and other factors but what are your thoughts?

Also no *******s post please :D

hmm says... who knows... it's a big IF. Duran and Leonard was a great match up.. even though some people may view that Pac and PBF as not on the same level as these previous greats, the fight build up/hype will likely surpass them. Interesting comparison but I have yet to see the fight itself..

duran vs leanord in my opinon, stands alone as the highest class boxing match of all time, its not just the win, but its how determined your opponent is that night

I think it would rate up there with SRL Duran personally... especially if Floyd doesnt look like **** vs JMM.

Pac beating Floyd would have to rank up there as one of the greatest boxing achievements of the last thirty years. Floyd is regarded as the best fighter of his generation, with skills- if not the record- that are arguably atg. For little Pac to come up in weight and beat him would be an unbelievable accomplishment.

many people will probably argue no but thats because alot of people rate older fighters higher.....this fight though maybe not on that level will rank right up by it

It will be on the same level. Though this time around the little guy is the fan favorite while Money May will be hated.

Yes it will be as good depending on how he wins, if it's a close decision or a UD then it will be on the same level but if it's a KO for Pacquiao then I can't disagree wit people that will rate it higher.

floyd isnt even in his prime any more fighting at a weightclass he has no recognition at but it would be a great win but never comparable to durans win over SRL
duran beat a welter weight phenomenon in his prime

Duran-Leonard I is the greatest win by any fighter ever IMO.

Pac beating Floyd would be in that ballpark, it would be one of the best wins ever and would be worthy of comparison, but it won't dislodge the Brawl In Montreal in my mind.

Two reasons: Leonard is a clearly greater fighter than Mayweather, and the fight itself was of an unbelievably high standard. I cannot envisage Pac-Floyd topping that.

No, but it would rank up there in the greatest wins section.

Damn, I wish I was alive when they had the brawl in Montreal... since then we have not had that many big fights up here. The closest we've come to that is Holt vs. Bradley.

Me two would have loved to have been there and seen the atmosphere and seeing duran push sugar ray away even after the fights finished!
