A clear win for Barrera, outclassed and dismantled Hamed. But it was more or less even after 6 rounds, hardly a schooling. The scores weren't particularly wide either.

I would go with either Calzaghe-Lacy or Vitali Klitschko-Peter or Vitali Klitschko Danny Williams.

Poor Danny Williams got beat to a pulp and kept coming. Some of these British fighters could learn a thing or two from that man. He made a fan out of me.

These are of course for recent fights.

  9. Calzaghe Lacy for me.

However - due to the circumstances - age, recent results etc. Hopkins/Pavlik was fantastic as well.

The difference between them - Calzaghe beat Lacy in every way - inside, outside - Lacy had nothing to offer Joe - that didn't result in 10 consecutive hits in the face.

    It was an... "Athletic/boxing schooling"

    Hopkins/Pavlik

This was built on one guy living this all his life - seeing everything there was to know about in the sport. Knowing his opponent inside, and outside - where his weaknesses and strengths were.

It was a "tactical/ring generalship schooling"

elements of both in both fights - but primarily - that is where the difference between them lies.

Obviously - the other dominations get a shout out - but these involve my favourite fighters - and are both fights I can watch again and again.

Rico, you might have already seen this, but there is a video on youtube where Danny Williams dislocates his shoulder mid-fight, its literally hanging out the socket, he doesn't quit, fights one-handed and wins by KO. One of the bravest things I've seen in the ring.

I'm assuming someone will remember which fight it is and post the youtube video on here for me :good

    Nicoalay Valuev vs. Sergei Lyakovich

The ones you'd have to go with are the fights where it's unexpected like Calzaghe/Lacy, Hopkins/Pavlik and Pacquiao/De La Hoya. The first Schmeling/Louis fight probably also deserves a mention because of this.
