I gotta be Dominic Guinn...he was supposed to be the savior of the division. I will also put Etienne Clifford up there; this guy was supposed to be another tyson and was embarassed by feather fisted Oquendo.

I am anything from British myself...I am Irish and so it is yourself that has made an assumption. Look at any thread regarding Calzaghe Jones and Hopkins and assess the responses against Calzaghe...the man is an undefeated fighter who held a world title for ten years and people are constantly berating him and it is an observation that the people doing so are principally American.

I was not putting the fight between Hopkins and lacy in the same league... Hopkins did what he does best and that was to spoil the fight and break it up. Calzaghe did the same thing to Lacy, Kessler and Jones. Completely out thought, maneuvered and just generally spanked them.

It is a touchy subject obviously, as it appears on numerous threads...there is one at this moment saying what would happen in their prime??? All we can say with any degree of certainty, is nobody can claim to beat Joe calzaghe and he has beaten everyone he fought. overrated and overhyped...how he has a flawless record. Unified titles, moved up in weight, fought away form home, fought younger number one contenders and former pound for pound ranked fighters!!!!

Not all brits deserve the level of blind homage that is paid to them...but calzaghe has earned it time and again.

this would be my definition of fraud. floyd has many people seeing these fights the way this guy sees them. im not saying floyd isnt a talented boxer but if you try and pass yourself off as an atg and you got people believing that based on this list of opponents then you are a fraud.

I wouldn't say Etienne was the most OVERRATED in boxing history but he was some disappointment wasn't he?

He gave Lamon Brewster his very first loss.

His fight with the very underrated (IMO - with regards to his skill level not his conditioning ) Laurence Clay-Bey was one hell of an entertaining fight.

    Correction.

A HoFer, a Great fighter, but maybe not an all time great, I agree. That's a huge title. But...Big ****ing Deal.

Slappy, no power, no chin etc, and thus being a totally **** fighter, he still manages to beat Jones and Hopkins. WTF?!! How embarassing.
