No... I think Cotto would win first round 10-8 flooring Tito nicely. Btw Are you talking Tito with wrapped hands or Tito in B-Hop fight?:rofl
Hate to disagree, but Tito wasn't that hard to hit, and Cotto can throw precision combinations. That would have had Tito blinking and hesitating like he did against DLH in the early rounds, before Oscar went on his marathon run. Tito wasn't quite as durable as Margarito, and Cotto's punches would have had more effect than they did on Antonio. Cotto just might have snuck away with a decision.
cotto would beat him by points simply because he is a better and smarter boxer........but chances of him ko trinidad i doubt it........ trinidad would have to ko to win
I can actually see this being close provided that Trinidad does not blow him out during the first half of the fight. I can actually see Cotto winning a UD. Mind you if I had to bet money on this thing at all then Trinidad by ko it is. I can't shake this vision of Tito rocking Cotto and promptly finishing him off.
Trinidad by ko. I like Cotto but there's no way he wins this one. As good as Cotto is, he's not a defensive genius - sooner or later Tito is going to land a big punch. Trinidad was a great finisher and there's no way he's letting Cotto off the hook when he hurts him.
Tito has been in there with the hardest hitters, fastst fighters. All I got to say about Cotto is: Margarito Torres Corley Malignaggi Judah One thing is getting Flash KD another is getting hurt. I've only seen Tito seriously hurt once, and that was after a 12 round beating by the Executionar Hopkins.
Except he gave it away...so perhaps we're wrong and he didn't deserve the win. Either way I bet Oscar still kicks himself in the ass for that. If he beats Tito Trinidad all of this "good fighter who lost great fights" talk is dead in the water. Anyways ON the topic at hand, Cotto has a problem with the straight right...the straight right outside of the hook was Tito's best punch. In other words...Cotto gets caught with a straight right and then enters another dimension known as Hook City.
Tito started slowly in all of his major fights except Vargas. Tito has anxiety issues and never really got going until he was hurt and/or knocked down. Cotto would take the first three rounds and then Tito would wake up.
I go with Trinidad. Tito usually came out a little shakey in the first round - but Cotto is not a very fast starter. I think Tito adjusts during the first round, then breaks him down and knock him out.
LOL, i still can't see how Tito won that fight. Going into the 10th round I had Tito needing a KO to win the fight.
