Also I think Jim Jeffries must have displayed great bravery to keep going in the face of pain ,in his fights with Fitz and Johnson ,plus his epic battle with Sharkey when both men had their hair singed and their faces scorched by the Krieg lights above them.
Battling Nelson and Ad Wolgast often showed a disregard of punishment that is mind boggling. Carnera should be mentioned too and Willard IMO.

I think anyone who knows their in for the beating of their life, but go through with the fight anyways, is courageous as hell...

Maurice Hope vs Bob Baker is a good example of this. Baker was just a journeyman but managed to go on until the 7th round against Hope.

Course, we can talk about Wepner, Cobb, and many others, but imo, the bravest mother ****er to ever hit the ring and DARED people to knock him out and he had no talent what so ever was Joe Grimm.

Grimm was only stopped once in his prime, and that was 14 rounds against McVey. Otherwise, guys like Langford, Fitzsimmons, Blackburn, Jack Johnson and others wasnt able to do the feat.

 

And the referee should have been shot,check out Jose Torres going crazy trying to get the ref to step in!
