Pacquiao do have a history of going up in weights and winning by TKO/KO

Pac move up to TKO Barrera
Pac move up to TKO Morales-although he loss the first fight
Pac move up to TKO Diaz
PAc move up to TKO Delahoya
Pac move down but still consider the smaller man against hatton and again he won by KO.

See this is why the so called *******s have a valid argument. Now i dont know if he can KO margarito but i wont be surprise if he does. Pac do have a history of shocking the world.

All credit goes to Pac for what he has accomplished but anyone who consideres himself an objective boxing fan will put some consideration into who his opponents where before seriously assuming he KOs someone like Margarito much less Duran.:patsch

And the reality of it is, as good as Pac has looked in his last 3 fights, a lot had to do with the opponents he had in front of him!

no man, enoughs enough. pac is ultra effective when he is the aggressive, come forward guy. he does a great job of getting his punches off and getting out in angles but if you turn the tables on him and throw combinations, he puts his blinders up, squares his shoulders, and walks straight backward until hes on the ropes. margarito will do this all night, put him on the ropes and bang on him until he drops. im shocked that no one has exploited this behavior. Sometimes manny will stand straight up chin high, even on his tippy toes doing his terrible rope a dope impression. Margo could be that guy. now i know i could be wrong about this and pac could somehow blow him out like some of you guys think but im not that optimistic. i say margo gets him out in 5 or less based on accumulation of work on the inside, against the ropes and effective uppercuts, plaster or not.

Well what Im trying to say is, he was perceived as the smaller man 8 times in his career and he proved them wrong each time, could he not prove them wrong again this time? Dont people get tired of being wrong> :deal

Yea, they weren't on Pac's level on the night and neither is Margo. Simple equation really.

Its not about that...Its being realistic...True enough he beat Oscar at 147 but come on Oscar didnt even attempt to fight back...You also have to take into consideration that Roach (Pacman's own trainer) said Oscar couldnt pull the trigger anymore...Margorito will be fighting back and he will make it a fight...For Manny to beat Margorito he will need to use ring smarts (which he may do) speed, and clinch to off-set Margorito's rythem...Manny also has to have to have a good beard and body to stand up to Margorito's onslaught...We all know that Manny is the better all around boxer but we dont know how Manny will react to a live body WW either...you can keep on saying Manny has been beating bigger man all you want to but you or I dont know how Manny will react when he's being hit by a 5'11 WW...

I'm basing my arguement on facts and logic.....If Cotto (a bigger and stronger fighter than Manny IMO) couldnt make Margorito respect his power...What makes you think Manny is going gain any respect from Margorito???....Margorito is no Oscar nor is he Hatton or anybody else that Manny has faced in the past....Given that Manny doesnt take body shots well from guys that are about the same size as him really makes me believe even more that Manny will not be able to handle Margorito.

Edit: Also to add to my post...Manny really doesnt fight good going backwards at all and that will also be a factor...its known fact that Margorito rarely takes a step backwards.

Well thats better, but I disagree.

I feel that when pac weighs in at 150 and Margo weighs in 160, Margarito will not hurt pac that bad. Sure he will be the heaviest puncher but IMO Margo doesnt have the speed to catch Pac clean on the chin or catch him blindsided. Margo has never been a 1 punch KO artist anyways...specially with all this plaster business.

Pac is also alot faster than Cotto, moreso than handspeed but in footspeed. Pac literally crosses about half a ring with 1 leap, spinning to the sides of his opponents. IMO Margo's landed hits will be few and far between. Pac's footwork being much better than Cotto will allow him to manouver around Margo all night peppering him, and if he has a punch strong enough to do Hatton damage like that, its powerful enough that if landed at will (which it will be) would KO Margarito through accumulation.

Hatton only managed to corner Pac when he grabbed him and DLH in the 1st round throwing combinations couldnt corner Pac. Pac just ducks the swings and spins round back to the center of the ring. I dont see why Margo will be any different just because he has more output.

As long as you understand that this whole "Pac was the smaller guy.." B.S. is all myth. The reality is that Pac has come in the bigger guy in most of those fights you mentioned!:deal

Weight has nothing to do with being the bigger guy. Is the Duran of the SMW bigger than hagler of MW just because he "weighs" more? Pac was the smaller man, look at his power at 122....utterly devastating. At 135 he needed to punish Diaz all day long to KO him and at 147 couldnt dent Oscar, p4p at 122 he was a huge puncher, not anymore though he's till a pretty big one. Pac has lost a lot of his power going up in weight, he's had as much success in the higher weights as he did in the lower weights because what he lost in size & power, he got back with skill.

BTW, If you wanna go by weight, he weighed less than MAB in their fight at 126, he weighed less than Morales in their fight at 130 and he weighed less than Diaz & Hatton on his fights at those weights too. He weighed more than DLH but your gonna claim he was bigger than DLH. lol. And he was shorter than all of them too...another factor in being the smaller man.

No way would Pac KO or TKO Margarito.

People are reading things into the Hatton fight that aren't right. Look at how much Pacquiao hit Oscar, and didn't even wobble him. Hatton was very open and his punch resistance has deteriorated - watch the Lazcano fight (it was still a great victory for Pac, though...)

Pacquiao doesn't hit as hard as Mosley, and would struggle to land at will like Mosley did. Mosley used his strength to push Margarito around on the inside, therefore keeping most of the fight on the outside where he could hit Margarito. I don't see how Pac could do that because he isn't that big or physically strong.

Still, I would probably back him to win a UD.

Big ****ing welterweights with big power fighting at middleweight+ limits couldn't bring Margo down in less than 9.:nut
Mosley landed enough power shots to knock out 10 welterweights that night.

ESB has really gone down the drain. Hopefully there are enough objective fans to resurrect it.

Pacman's hands are faster and he might outspeed Margarito. It would be an interesting fight for sure. I could see Pacman outboxing Antonio.
