New Pernell Whitaker Highlights from the Tube

From wahat I have seen of Pep he may have been slightly better at not getting hit than Whitaker. However he often took himself out of punching range. Whitaker managed to keep himself in punching range and was a better offensive boxer. Over all I think Whitaker > Pep

 

Whitaker was brilliant against Nelson. Superb on the backfoot, double jabs, body punches, and also compact up close. Whitaker was in-range often but was more of a mover than given credit for.

 

Great video, Sweat Pea was the ****.

 

Pep definitly had better footwork he has the best footwork i have ever seen. Pep also is the best fighter i have seen who feints movement he goes one way but comes back up the other way it really works and you see opponents walk forward into air.

I also think Peps outside game is a bit better as Whittaker did have a good outside game but was alot better than Pep within that tight circling in the pocket and up close.

Leading with powershots is a good point as Pep was the master at this he would make them miss and make them pay quickly with a powershot but he also used his decent jab.

Pea were not going to get anywhere thoguh really i like Pep and Pea but Peps my favourite and Peas your favourite. I think we will both agree there great defensive fighters and are near equal in ability

 

It seems almost impossible that someone could be so good.

 

He even managed to break a box of eggs with his bare fists once too.

 

The only reason why Pep ranks over Pea is the number of fight's but imo Pea is the better overall fighter.

 

What's wrong with being a mover?

 

Nothing. Who said there was anything wrong with being a mover? I'm actually quite parcial to movers myself. :good
