Okay lets get this prediction right C'mon Johnson. Ah **** it Vargas barely out of that, He's done. Showed heart by getting up though. He can't hurt Johnson. Johnson hasn't got power, but decent fundementals but will be found out at the highest level, and can't deal with a decent pressure fighter, if Vargas had a good chin he'd have won this. Johnson would get killed by someone like Haye/Klitschko
You could see from the 1st knock down he was looking for a way out and when his corner told him in the previous round to the stoppage they would stop it when he got in trouble he pretty much caved knowing they were going to stop it. I didnt like that peformance by Vargas at all, he just over played the ear injury sure his ear was hurt but damn do you have to make it that clear?
Well, that was what I said mid-rounds KO to Johnson. Vargas was busy enough but didn't have a gameplan or a defence. He should have showed more defence by holding on when he was hurt or box outside. But fair play it was a good enjoyable contest. Lots of punches thrown by both boxers.
