I think Arreola is crap as well. Most of the HW division is crap.

I'm not going to forgive Johnson because of the crappy division.

He beats Chambers fairly easily. What does Chambers do well that would give johnson alot of trouble. He could counter him from time to time but he doesn't hit hard enough to hurt anyone.

Jhonson, while he doesn't have great power has enough to keep you honest and keep Chambers from throwing.

Arreola I think walks through him at this point and beats him into submission.

say what you want about Arreola, no skill, fat and whatever else but that dude is mean, he is looking to hurt you. If you can't keep him honest he will. Johnson has to throw more to do just that.

Johnson would stop Chambers IMO. Equal handspeed, this new and improved version would certainly be the more aggressive fighter, and he came in tonight at a career-high 246, but it appeared it's all good weight - he wasn't Schwarzenegger tight but by boxing standards there was scantly any body fat to be found. Eddie's ideal fighting weight is Cruiser. He's able to get away with things at heavy that he shouldn't because of his speed and defensive skill, like Byrd. Actually as crazy as it may sound, I think Johnson-Chambers would actually look like Ibeabuchi-Byrd.

I'm waffling on the Chambers fight because Chambers is quite a bit sharper than Johnson. It would be a really nip and tuck fight, because even with the huge size advantage he would have, it's not really Johnson's nature to brawl. He did tonight because he was holding all of the cards.

If the fight became a strict jab fest, Chambers might "look" more impressive.

Eddie pumps his with more pistonlike regularity, but Johnson's jab is actually crisper.

Johnson seemed to abandon his jab tonight in favour of a more reckless style

Chambers seems more comfortable getting cute, though he's certainly no ballerina. Johnson's more the Toney type, happy to set anchor and weave in the pocket. He's always set to get his shots off, but going back to the inexperience as a finisher, he doesn't seem to have figured out how to plant to maximize his torque (when he does that, we could see that KO ratio jack way up...or not...remains to be seen).

What was going on with him the night he fought Terry Smith? He just decided in the locker room to do a poor man's Holmes impression?

He's probably the best American heavyweight including Arreola.

Chambers would outbox him, it's really simple, Chambers it the better boxer, has beaten better competition, and has a lot of upside despite being a small heavyweight. He would counter him and then throw combinations.
