Just saw on Fight___ that Vargas complained about not hearing out of his right ear! I didn't see the fight, my cable didn't show it for some reason. Did Kingpin beat him up that bad?:blood

I thought they should have stopped it at that point. He was complaining for 2 rounds. He also would not have taken those big left hooks which he later took. The corner should have stopped it when he was complaining, he was uncomfortable.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious he wanted to quit. When he went down, he was looking around like, "do I wanna get up?" then, he took a nice look over at his corner. A good corner should know that means a fighter wants them to quit for him.

When Johnson Vs Barret was originally OK'd
I posted that I wondered what it would do to the point spread on the Haye Vs Klitchko fight after Barret got KO'd by Johnson. Who is no puncher.
His TKO over a guy previously never down
makes me think he would have taken Barret out quicker. Barret is slower and no where near as hungry as Vargas is (or at least was).

    Johnson came in looking good.
His weight was up so we can assume he has been hitting the weights. He looked good but I would like to see him 5-8 lbs leaner and not so "lack a dazel" in the ring. As is he will get KO'd by as # of heavy weights out there because of his bad habbits.

It does not matter. They will both lose to Klitschkos, Arreola and anyone else who can box, even a little.

Arreola can't box, even a little.

Arreola comes to ****ing fight, even if he is a fat ****. The guy loves beating people, if nothing else he has great power, is very strong, and great killer instinct.

He would barrel right through Johnson, simple fight really. A guy who likes to take his time cruising and boxing versus a smothering pressure fighter who can bang.

    Arreola takes him out.

Oh, because you prefer his style. Yeah, that's logical.

Johnson has never been pressured, and Arreola is both very physical and has a high workrate, and is accurate as well.

Johnson would have to fight off the back foot, something he is simply not accustomed to doing. He has faced rather poor opposition, Arreola has the edge in experience in this case.

Johnson has fast hands and is quick, and Arreola has holes in his defense no doubt, but Arreola's aggressiveness would very likely overwhelm Johnson, it will essentially "force" the fight. Johnson will have to fight at Arreola's pace and deal with his power and output.

Johnson's strategy for the fight would have to be to box beautifully off the back foot and counter and hope to hurt Chris. I dont believe he can do it. Arreola has a fair enough size and strength advantage, and unless Johnson miraculously turns in an amazing performance, I say Arreola tires him out a bit and takes him out in the mid round 5-8
