That was Neil back to his best form, and when he fights like that he almost looks unbeatable, but of course next time out he will get stopped by some journeyman.atsch
Aye sounds good from Sinky. I did want him to win but not in the fashion he apparently did. He's a frustrating ****er as pointed out above. He'll probably go from top form to being terrible in his next fight. A definite case of 'what could have been'
that was a disgrace to the sport that stoppage , sexton should have been disqualified spitting out his gum shield like that , if there is no rematch i will fall out of love with the sport . an absoloute disgrace , Rogie could have hurt Sexton bad if he hit him when his hands were down , if i was Sexton i would be embarresed he should have been stopped twice
lads just on the bus back to dublin now. some news you may not have heard yet. 1. Warren wants a rematch made 2. sexton doesnt want a rematch ( He kept saying it wasnt up to him) if sexton had any balls he would be only too happy to rematch rogie
sinky was exceptional tonight ardy For me the fight probably should have been stopped in the second round. i wanted henry to do well but thats boxing.
I'm sure it will all become clear in the next day or so what Warren will intend to do.This has rematch writen all over it, and I'm positive Sexton signed a contract with a rematch clause in it. It would be an absolute travesty if Rogan is not allowed to put right that result. There's potential here for another big Belfast boxing spectacle, Rogan's revenge along with Neil Sinclair and Kevin O'Hara both challenging for British title fights on the undercard. One can only hope that Warren can make it happen. Good man Paddy. Great news! Sexton doesnt want anymore of Rogan and think that if there wa a rematch that Rogan would have the beating of him. Parris splits them in the sixth with two minutes to go when they are not holding and Rogan was unloading on Sexton and has him in the corner. 2.48 to go in the 8th - Rogan rocks Sexton, Sexton turns his back and hides/shields his head at the turnbuckle. Rogan keeps throwing and glances off his shoulder and catches him with a left hook/uppercut. Parris calls a time out and admonishes Rogan for hitting on the back of the head. This rewards Sexton for turning and hiding in the ring and gives him time to recover. again at 1.16 to go, Parris gets involve to stop the action unecessarily when Rogan is pushing forward again. With 1.00 to go Sexton spits his gumshield out and gets another break, Sexton then continues to clinch and hold - all let slide by Parris. 0.22 Rogan catches him with an uppercut and Sexton is going backwards and holds on for dear life - 17 seconds to go when Sexton it finished and its all Rogan then Parris stops the fight and bring Rogan to the doctor. I'm seething!! Rogan took it with such class - I beat Magee wasnt a calm! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnYoXbLSWGg&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eeastsideboxing%2Ecom%2Fforum%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Fp%3D4054450%26posted%3D1%23post4054450&feature=player_embedded
another ref may have stopped the fight right there in favour of rogie... have a look at the finish of john l gardener v paul sykes...many years ago, but best comparison i can think of right now.
lads was it a full house last night ?? slap i think you should put frankie in the p4p list in the furture if he keeps wearing them irish shorts
could be rogan v sexton rematch for the ebu > warren said before the fight that the winner will get a shot at the title
