James DeGale will be a 3 weight world champion and p4p top 3 in his prime

i thought degale was the best of the 3 last night , top performance

 

DeGale did what he had to do and looked a damn site better than he did im the first fight but beating that guy has proven nothing other than at least DeGale listened to the criticism from the first fight.

He won't be able to walk forward with his jab fully extended, measuring his opponent for the right hand when he starts fighting live opponents.

 

really i didnt see that. Billy Joe was good. Exactly what i like to see hands high, chin down, workes the body well, dectent workrate and patient a solid pro style. But he was missing that sparkle the thing that seperates the champion from the contender the X factor so to speak.

i liked DeGale with that performance he showed me the 'X factor' BJ Saunders was missing

I think the boy will go far. I liked some of the things he was doing in there, yes a poor opponent, but you can still tell a lot.

It almost a cliche that people say BJ will go the furthest, if I remember rightly Strike mentioned it first way back and everyone jumped on board. I think saunders won't get past euro level.

 

I was saying it straight after the Games and I'm still impressed with the lad.

 

If were are going to have "I told you so" every time Degale beats up a corpse then its going to be a long 18 months.

Degale did what he had to do but the opponent was very, very poor and didn't know even know how to throw a punch correctly.

The guy DeGale fought came to fight. DeGale just picked him off as he threw punches and dropped him and that discouraged him for the rest fo the round

 

I quite enjoyed last nights fights and De Gale seems to have learned to do his talking in the ring. Hopefully the boo boys will give him a break and get behind him. Saunders looked good too. Reminded me stylistically of young Paul Appleby when he started out.

 

I don't want to be too hard on the opponent for a second professional fight, they arn't supposed to be world beaters, but the guy had no defense or fundamentals and looked a good 2 weight divisions smaller than DeGale.. He came to fight in as much as he walked foward swinging away for the first 30 seconds but he was in there so DeGale could do a number on him. They couldn't afford a repeat of Degales first fight.

 

the guy looked bigger than DeGale he was huge.

yes he had n defence or fundamentals but he went for it and you need opponents like that to start you off

 

Eh? Degale out weighed the guy by over 10lbs.

 

one thing you gotta say about degale is his fast.........real fast hands.
