i think the fact that sexton said no to a rematch says it all. even when a fighter has no intention of doing so (froch v taylor) in the post fight interview they still say it!
You would think that Rogan would be the more marketable at this point and hence the "preferred winner". Maybe Parris misread the memo and sided for the wrong guy. If anyone has an angle on Sexton as the preferred winner, I'd be interested. I don't see it. The final round is youTube'd. That's some terrible reff'ing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnYoXbLSWGg
You would think that would be the clincher against any 'it was a set-up by Warren' arguments, but we don't seem to be dealing in logic here.
You would think anybody who's seen Parris/Vann/McDonnell ref before would know a fix when they see one.
In the first 2-3 rounds? Barrera got cut in the first round and it went downhill from there. Barrera landed only TWO clean punches in that fight and both of them buckled Khan. This was a joke of a fight in my opinion and SHOULD have been stopped in the first round. When the commentator realises that the cut is too deep to be worked on just after it happened WITHOUT a doctor showing up immediately then you know this is just another fiasco in England like the Hatton/Tszyu fight.
No way was this some sort of Frank Warren stroke being pulled. I'm completely neutral in this one and Rogan lost fair and square and within the rules
So explain to us why exactly Frank Warren would fix a fight so that his more marketable fighter lost? Presumably we can expect Rogan to speak in public about the way that his own promoter screwed him over? And we can expect him to leave Frank Warren Promotions with immediate effect? Do you expect these things to happen? What will it tell you if they don't?
But that IS some terrible reff'ing, no? Whether "directed" or not, that round should not have followed that track. The guy is a terrible ref. There's plenty of evidence.
Seeing as I'm not a Rogan fan I could give two shits what he does, if he leaves Warren then he won't be the first... In fact EVERYONE has left Warren, and end up sueing him(Calzaghe) or shooting him(Marsh) so what does THAT tell you. Perhaps because Frank keeps calling Rogan British when he clearly hates it? How the **** should I know. Either way, this was a fix, and Rogan has already voiced his disdain about the referee, I guess he needs to be reminded about who the ref works for. On that note, why did Marcus McDonnell stop the Calzaghe/Manfredo bout on a volley of slaps, and let Amir Khan continue when he was on dream street, THEN gave him the full ten count when he was splattered on the canvas?
Because you've missed the ****ing point, if you could get the passed the fact I'm not some bitter mick rogan fan, you would see that my complaint is towards Frank Warren and his endless wave of corruption, which gets exceedingly more blatant each time.
As people have been trying to tell you, your conspiracy theory lacks an essential ingrediant: motive. Warren promotes both fighters in the fight. All available evidence and logic suggests a Rogan win would likely provide more lucrative opportunities for him than a Sexton win. So you end up with a conspiracy theory where the conspirator is ending up worse off. It doesn't work.
Marcus McDonnell DIDN'T ref the Manfredo fight. McDonnell is the best British ref in my opinion. In any case Manfredo was clearly well out of his depth and was not throwing back, just letting JC unload on him, which as we all know is all a twitchy ref needs to call a fight off. And btw I can't stand Frank warren so I'm not sticking up for him, just relating the facts
