I wouldn't exactly say that, but he did introduce him to the down side of it. Torres won't really be the same after a KO like the one he suffered against Holt. Even though that head butt helped a little the punch was loaded. Torres is at 147 now. He announced about two months ago that it was too hard making 140. The welterweight division may be a little too big for him. It's kinda sad to see fighters caught in between weights like that. The same happened to Gatti. Too big for 140 and not big enough for 147.
Holt is definitely a warrior who goes all the way but Torres was just unlucky/screwed in the rematch, he had Holt out and the headbutt just totally screwed him followed by a right hand that finished it. This is more his fault than Holt's, he got overexcited and was charging in recklessly at that point especially when he had Holt down twice already. Hope a third fight is not out of the question, that would be one hell of a fight.
He got knocked down 2wice then turned around and knocked this guy down 3 times en route to a stoppage.
I think that Torres would give Pac trouble and if he comes through 100% focused then he's sure to win. If he lands - and Pac is very hittable, it could be a long night !!
LOL! Pac would absolutely destory Torres who has no chin, bad defense, and bad balance as well. Torres would be very lucky to make it out of the third round.
I can agree with this statement. Torres is live game against Pac. He's got he potential to KO pac too.
****, torres down twice!!?? exciting and entertaing fighter but after the holt fight he probably won't b as good as he was
Kendall could've (and perhaps would've) been knocked down five more times just in that first round, but not out. I don't buy that he was in trouble. Say what you will about the impact of the headbutt, his finishing flurry was not something a guy in serious trouble is able to pull out of his ass.
Well colombians are born with punching power.....so he might of just had a hard fight, but at the same time I doubt he was motivated for this fight, but only time will tell the story, we'll just have to wait and see when he fights one of these top welters in his next fight I'd love to see Judah vs. Torres btw
IMO Torres will never be the same because of the Holt fight...If he went life and death against a guy that Saul Alvarez(altough a good prospect is only 18yrs old) Koed in the first rnd...he will not win against elite opposition...
