Arrange these Mexican fighters into a top 10, based on achievement. Some are still active, some have recently retired, some are shot and some seem to be stuck inbetween "active and inactive"; basically they were all active up until recently. Here's the list: - Juan Manuel Marquez - Erik Morales - Marco Antonio Barrera - Rafael Marquez - Israel Vasquez - Fernando Montiel - Jose Luis Castillo - Martin Castillo - Manuel Medina - Oscar Larios
Marco Antonio Barrera Juan Manuel Marquez Erik Morales Israel Vasquez Jose Luis Castillo Fernando Montiel Rafael Marquez -Manuel Medina Oscar Larios Martin Castillo
actually i put jose luis castillo too high, based on achievement i reckon he has too many losses goes below marquez
Marco Antonio Barrera Erik Morales Juan Manuel Marquez Jose Luis Castillo Israel Vazquez Rafael Marquez Oscar Larios Manuel Medina Fernando Montiel Martin Castillo
Barrera =JMM =Morales Vazquez JL Castillo R Marquez Montiel Larios M Castillo Medina This is frikin hard!
I like Montiel (one of my favourite boxers), but I can't see how you could rank him above Rafael Marquez. Rafa's wins against Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson (twice), Tim Austin and Israel Vasquez are IMO better than anything Montiel has. In fact after Marquez beat Johnson, Mark went on to handle Montiel pretty easily.
Chavez pwns all of them. Jm Marquez . . . . . Barrera Jose Luis Castillo Israel Vazquez Morales Rafael Marquez Manuel Medina Oscar Larios Montiel Martin Castillo
-Erik Morales -Marco Antonio Barrera -Juan Manuel Marquez -Jose Luis Castillo -Rafael Marquez -Israel Vazquez -Fernando Montiel -Oscar Larios -Martin Castillo -Manuel Medina If JMM shocks the world in July and whatever else he accomplishes later on will easily put him at #1.
Yep, if JMM beats Mayweather (which he will not), he would have to be one of the greatest fighters of the last 30 years. But I don't see it happening.
-Erik Morales -Juan Manuel Marquez -Marco Antonio Barrera -Rafael Marquez -Israel Vazquez -Jose Luis Castillo -Fernando Montiel -Oscar Larios -Martin Castillo -Manuel Medina
- Erik Morales - Marco Antonio Barrera - Juan Manuel Marquez - Manuel Medina - Israel Vasquez - Rafael Marquez - Jose Luis Castillo - Fernando Montiel - Martin Castillo - Oscar Larios
I didn't plan it that way. Here's mine in any case (tiered): 1 - Marco Antonio Barrera 2 - Erik Morales 3 - Juan Manuel Marquez 4 - Rafael Marquez 5 - Israel Vasquez 6 - Jose Luis Castillo 7 - Fernando Montiel 8 - Manuel Medina 9 - Oscar Larios 10 - Martin Castillo
