If I was Sam Sexton I would be ashamed of that Commonwealth belt. If Rogie wasnt such a good man, he could still be in hospital now. If he doesnt give Rogie a rematch nothing will calm my hatred for him. Now we play the waiting game, pick you're next move carefully Sam, very carefully.

Could a rematch be for the vacant EBU title I wonder? Do you guys think he will even get a rematch? Can he appeal to the BBBofC to make it happen given the circumstances of how he lost the title?

I agree with Kane on the woeful referee at the fight last night. I was at the fight and I couldn't believe what was going on, the crowd were seething that it ended like it did. There is no honor in the way that Sexton stole Rogie's belt.

That said, Rogie should have finished Sexton and made the referee irrelevant, he also needs to listen to his corner more, I could see Breen going ape**** with him and swinging the top rope to try and get his attention, but Rogie just blanked him.

Elsewhere, Sinclair was excellent, there was real snap in his punches and it was only a matter of time before he put away Coyne. I saw Coyne at the Dunne title bill in Dublin and I thought he was very average, so I was fully expecting sinky to nail him.

Of the other Irish fighters on the bill, I wasnt impressed with O'Hara, he struggled with his opponent and couldnt find his range. Ciaran Healy did ok, but you couldnt see him going far. I thought Willie Thompson looked like a dangerous wee fighter, but he did take quite a step up with Michael Jennings, who finished Thompson off with two successive heavy blows.

I was disappointed that the Belshaw fight didnt happen - apparently his opponent didnt show up on the night.

The three Olympic lads looked impressive, especially De Gale, I think he is a really classy fighter with real venom in his punches and can see him being a future world champion. One final note, I was disappointed that the English Olympic boxers got such poor reception, what was the point of all of that booing?

Anyway, I am looking forward to the next fights in Belfast or Dublin, whichever comes sooner...

well the mc calling them "OUR" olympic heros[which they r not] and then they were wearing union jacks on there shorts and stuff...i think that did not help there cause..
warren has already indicated a rematch 4 rogan-sexton will happen:good

Brilliant if it happens, a 1st round KO for Rogan would be poetic justice!

Fra - I know, but they were hailed as 'our' Olympic heros for the Sky audience as much as anything else, plus they are English so you cant blame them for wearing union jack shorts. I dont care were the fighters come from as long as they put on a good show and give the punters value for money, which all 3 did.

Rogan-Sexton re-match has to be in Oydssey, the place was packed last night, Rogan will KO him if that one goes ahead, put your house on it.

Castlebar is next ,dont think i'll bother the first half of the card is up on boxrec and doesnt look good although Timms and sweeeny have yet to be matched and i hear Oisin ***an is now on the bill so i could yet be convinced.
After that Dublin in June for the Hyland promotion.Havent heard a definite date yet late June i was told.Pajo and Eddie in two big fights, spike is on,Robbie Long of course,Timms is rumoured as is Jamie Power.
If they are matched well thats a good line up to start with.:good
Is Paulie contracted to someone else cause i thought he would definetly headline this or does he have something big coming up? :huh
