that would be a great fight! sloppy, but a
serious test for the kid. ward showed a lot
of heart and poise as well as the ability to
adapt in this fight. he'd need even more
    to win against the scorp.

Goddamn, he's a likeable dude, asking Steve Farhood if he made his top ten.

I liked that Ward said he put himself into some awkward positions. That tells me he realized that far too often he put himself in the spot to get caught with the right. Nice smarts for him.

Showtime's preview for Darchinyan-Agbeko is hilarious. It might as well be "Vic Darchinyan vs some other guy."

Big differences would make it another important step up. Bika isn't a one handed one dimensional fighter. He also has a great inside game which makes him a tough cookie. It would be another important fight for the development for Ward. Bika has enough similarities to Carl Froch to make it a reasonablly important fight.

Unless you can find a slickster in the top 10 who could potentially prepare him for the slickness of Bute, it's probably the best fight you can find.

Unlike a lot of fighters/boxers, he doesn't "ummm" and "ya know" and "na'am sayin" when the mic is put in front of him. He seems to think what he says through and then deliver it eloquently enough for the viewing public.

It has nothing to do with his in ring game but of course, it never hurts outside of it.

this ward was impressive. Now lets just hope kessler comes out from whereever hes hiding and the SMW division is set.....but wait...dare i say get that semi- retired welsh guy to come and play??

When you consider that Abraham is moving up in the fall, You can look at this division and see all the pieces of something very special for Showtime. Calzaghe would probably come back to 175 if he comes back at all.

The real issue with Showtime is that now they have to hope HBO doesn't get wind of the SMW division and try to take it from them. They already got robbed for Chad Dawson and you know HBO will get first crack at Mikkel Kessler whenever he decides to become a participant in boxing again.

Still you have a stacked stacked division top 10 top to bottom.

yeh and even pavlik probably moves up soon. I know calzaghe would likely fight at 175, just threw it out there...i do think he'd fight again though.

Eventually, it will tough for them to look the other way if Ward and Dirrell continue to develop the way they do. That could be a huge fight a few years down the road.
