woah their, froch has decent skill. he just dosent have speed at all. However other then that, hes a very impressive athlete. I saw one of his training clips were he ran 80 yards in 10 seconds. thats almost as fast as an nfl player :nut

Dont have the tools??? Your sick. this is the problem with so many so-called boxing fans. Just because you like one guy in a weight class dont mean that you have to be totally blind to the talents of another. I had this talk with a gang of Bute fans that claimed this about Dirrell and ward both, these guys are the most talented fighters at the weight. Talent alone dont make you a good fighter, but I think that Ward standing and trading with Miranda and fighting him on the inside showed alot. BTW Miranda will and would beat Froch just like he did Miranda.

 

He definitely does employ the clinch rather frequently and effectively.

I just finished watching the Ward fight and yes he was doing a lot of holding but when you look at the opponent he had to deal with that was the strategy that worked for him.

You say he doesn't have the tools. He has got the tools brother, he would give a lot of top guys trouble with that type of movement.

I feel the man who beats him is the man who puts constant pressure on him who goes to Wards body from round 1. It's hard to hit Ward with a clean shot and he can move laterally all night so whoever fights him will have a hard time. I still say Andre Dirrell beats him though.

 

I'm not a hater nor a big fan of Froch but Ward is nothing special and remember Froch is not a one punch boxer

 

Ward did seem to clinch about everytime after he landed a big shot which stopped him from being able to stop Miranda. But the safety first style paid off tonight for Ward.
