What a fight that would be.

    I'd take Jirov by decapitation.

we're not talking about the Stationary Jirov. we're talking about the Prime Tiger.

Jirov was good, but I think with his wide open stance, it reminded me of the Rocky movies where Stu Naham said 'Rocky is blocking the blows with his face!'....Haye is too strong, and with his speed, I think he would have hit Jirov whenever he wanted to. Maybe Jirov is tough enough to go the distance, but personally, I dont think he could take alot of power shots from Haye. I figure, maybe a TKO in the 10-11th round.

Mormeck was better than Jirov. Yeah, Mormeck was a tough fight.

I'd rate Jirov over Mormeck in their primes. I do think Haye would be a tough fight for a prime Jirov. The style matchup favors Haye. If Jirov came out with a bit of movement, which he was capable of, he could grind Haye down and avoid those bombs. The Jirov that sometimes went stationary and traded would be in trouble.

My sense is that an absolutely prime Jirov would probably win by decision, although I wouldn't be surprised if Haye stopped him in the middle rounds. The other thing about Jirov is that he never got to prove himself against the other champions of his day, Gomez and Nelson, so it's really hard to gauge how good he really was.

Jirov only won one Cruiserweight Belt, were as Mormeck was the Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion of the World!

Mormeck unified the divison by beating Virgil Hill and O'neil Bell. Lol, maybe you heard of them.

David Haye was a far more accomplished Cruiserweight than Juan Carlos Gomez, Vassily Jirov, James Toney, aka the one belt club . He beats them all. David Haye is that good.

Jirov was a good cruiser, but his defense was not tight enough. I think Haye would be quick and land some big shots to stop Jirov.

Yeha, Mormeck and Fragomeni didn't have a good defense either and it got them knocked out.
