Ward shows his stuff: The next SMW King

Thats right, I said it and have said it for a long time. Andre Ward is the complete package as a boxer. He has all of the tools to take over the division. Lets get a breakdown of his skills.

Superb defensive skill. Moves well out of the pocket, covers great and rarely gets caught cleanly. He has excellent head movement backing up.

His footwork and lateral movement is impressive. He gives all the angles and can punch just as well with either hand. There isnt another fighter at super middle that shows his kind of movement.

He has every punch in the book. He can throw with either hand, has hooks, straight punches and uppers along with a tremendous jab. He can fight inside and outside.

Most importantly ward hasnt lost a fight since he was 14 years old. He doesnt know how to lose. He has incredible determination and the will to win and I dont see anyone else giving him credit for his will. This will catapault him to a title holder and soon after a multiple belt holder. he moves into a mandatory for Froch. froch has no chance to beat Ward, it will be another clear decision victory. Froch is no where close to the skillset of a Andre ward.

 

I dont think we'll have to wait long. No reason we cant see a Froch fight next. Froch could and probably will fight a nonmandatory next and I thi k he should because when he steps into the ring with ward he will lose his belt. Ward is a superior boxer than JT, is more relaxed with a much more diversified attack, better movement and defense and most importantly wont fade like JT always does.

If you have been following ward's career you would realize that you are wrong, there isnt another fighter today in the super middleweight division that displays the skillset that Ward does.

Kessler is a straight up 1-2 fighter. He lacks any kind of movement, he has strong power though and is a good combination puncher. Ward can beat him. froch, frankly doesnt possess any skillset over ward at all. froch also has slow hands and we seeen what a Ward can do to a guy who telegraphs his punches. Froch will be hard pressed to win a round versus ward. Andrade would chase him around and get tagged all night long. Bute has a good skillset but is a little worse at everything than ward and ward has superior movement.

 

Because he isnt a horrific puncher has zero, zero bearing on what his success will be. thats like saying Floyd Mayweather or paul williams arent great because they arent huge punchers. Ward has enough pop to earn respect and thats all he needs. Its his boxing skills that are impressive not his power. By saying what you are saying it shows that you lack boxing knowledge.

Also, he was complaining because Miranda is an extremely dirty fighter who uses his head, low blows, rabbit punches and wrestles. I cant see how u can blame him for that. I stand by what I said and you offer no rebuttal. Ward has the best skillset in the division. If a huge puncher was going to stop him (its possible) it might have happened tonight and it want even close. When ward has multiple belts coem back to this thread and point out how right I was.


Just wanted to add that your first sentence displays a total falsehood. Because Ward has the intagibles is because he will be a great fighter. The intangibles are all related to boxing ability. defense, movement, angles, ambidexterity etc. those are the intangibles that make great fighters.

 

Again I dont see the lack of heavy hands correlating to success. I think the more heavy your hands are the more you rely on them and develop your other skills less. miranda is a Prime example of this. Sam peter also comes to mind. froch will not stop ward and he will lose nearly every round if not every round. It will be a repeat of tonights fight.

Again, I stand by what i say that Ward has the best skillset at 168. In the end the best boxers always end up on the great list.
