Doubt he will have the same options he has now, a win over Hopkins will get him great recognition especially with Hopkins' recent win over Pavlik. Calzaghe's win over Hopkins did a lot for him too though it was at the end of Calzaghe's career, when you beat a big name regardless of age/status it does a lot. It will also encourage people to take a better look at Adamek's major wins over O'neil Bell, Cunningham and Banks. Three wins I rate as GREAT but hardly looked up on because Adamek isn't popular enough which is frustrating.

Even when this fight was first being mentioned, i always knew that Bernard would never fight Adamek because hes too small and his clinches would not be useful at cruiser weight because Adamek is strong enough to push right off. As great as he is, i think he also realized this and bailed out of the fight. Froch is someone who he should go after, not Adamek.

This was a really good discussion with Hopkins, I think.

He only stuttered when asked about Arreola. I think he was trying to be nice, I don't think he cares much for Arreola.

If Hopkins wanted to make the fight happen,he should have offered the fictional 1.2 mil. to Adamek at the banquet both attended. The fight still could have been made at that time but Hopkins turned his back to Adamek when approched.Doesnt sound like Hopkins was to interested despite what he's saying now.

I see the wisdom in both points, taking the fight versus turning it down. But I got to say that being the guy that retired Hopkins would have put Adamek in the mix. He could have called out anyone. Now? He is back on FNF. Damn. That crap leaves me scratching my head...

Bottom line, like some of you have been saying, Adamek should have taken whatever offer he got, if he was really hungry to fight the best . . . Now he's fighting a nobody, and it makes him look bad to me, if he's gonna sit around and nitpick about fighting a guy like Hopkins.
