Im sure Calzaghe fans will be polling for Single weight catog...considering he didnt even legitimise his world title (minor WBO) till Lacy makes me think....did he even dominate?

With the alphabet titles its easy to be a multi-division champ, simply by picking off the weakest champ, a la Manny recently.

It is hard as hell to dominate one division in which the competition is deep, such as today's WW, Jr. WW, and Super MW divisions. When I say dominate I'm not talking about winning the title and fighting super fights and smaller people, ala Hatton, I'm talking about clearing out the division #2 on down to #10, like Joe Louis.

It depends on the division. I think it would definitely be easier to dominate the light welter as opposed to the welterweight. Sure moving up and down can be a hard thing to do, but there are always some weak title-holders in every division.

I would prefer to dominate a division and make the other lighter guys move up to you like BHOP.

Jmm was not a weak champ, but david diaz and Hatton were the weakest champs in their division, most definitely, do you dare disagree?

Why do you think HATTON was a weaker champ than Urango (stripped), Bradley and Kotelnik? Hatton was more proven than those two at 140.

Bradley was the man at 140, he beat all the dangerous fighters at the top of the division. He beat and took the title from Witter, then he defended it and took another title from Kendall Holt. That makes his championship reign better than Hatton's defense against Maussa already.

As for Kotelnik, his title reign is about equal to Hatton pre-Manny, no real difference. Urango would have knocked Hatton out if they fought at this stage in his career.

I am right in assuming that you took my comment as some sort of diss against BHOP? That was not my intention at all. I was being serious I would prefer to unify and dominate my division and defend my title against the big name stars from the weights divisions below me.

Diaz was a weak champ for Pac to fight but Hatton was the best at 140, you can't skew that victory in my eyes. It was a great win, Bradley was never the man.
