[yt]m6fmB1XQefU[/yt] Who here is like me and thinks Shane completely screwed himself for not taking the Cotto rematch because Pac and Mayweather, as sure as dawn, won't be fighting him anytime soon?
Agreed, B. I've been saying it for a minute now as well. Mosley should have been a tad more flexible about the Cotto situation. Both J. Marquez and Mosley, God love them, have proven once again that they have as much to do with their career misfortunes as any twist of fate.
:thumbsup Mosley's now stuck in limbo and there's little to suggest that a big fight will beckon anytime soon. His best move might be to opt for a unification match against Berto or the Cotto-Clottey winner; however, if Cotto wins, I see him chasing after a bigger fight.
Let's be honest out of this extremely talent rich crop of fighters at 140-147. Shane is the one that is clearly being the most avoided.
Shane is too big a risk for these guys. I think that all these guys from Floyd to Pac and Cotto know that if Shane show up on his game they would likely lose. I have always said that Shane is the one fighter that I would really have major doubts about floyd beatting. Shane has the kind of one shot power coupled with speed and know how to get Floyd the **** out of there. I think that cotto knows that he got a shitty version of Shane, but now they he has got rid of that parasite he called a wife, he seems to be back to that joyful fighter he was in his 20's.
Strange as it may sound but Shane represents as a high risk low reward proposition when compared to the other options.
I like shane and wouldn't mind seeing pac vs shane but people who bashed floyd for wanting to fight Pac but Shane gets no hate for being bigger than floyd and went as far as 154.
Yep as impressive as that Margarito performance was and him moving back into the top 5 p4p he is still seen as too high a risk. If you beat Shane you have to be ready to go 12 hard rounds and you have to outbox him. Other than PBF I don't see a fighter that can beat Shane at 147 and below. I think SSM would stop Cotto in the rematch.
Agreed with much of what you said but I don't see Shane stopping Cotto in a rematch. Cotto is no where near as hittable as Margarito and has already proven that he can withstand Shane's best shots. A win on the cards for Shane is very plausible but certainly not a given against a man who has already once defeated him. I hope to see this fight happen.
Nobody wants to fight the mother****er so he's resorted to begging for fights now. :rofl:rofl Serves you right you ****ing roid abuser! :yep
