Riddick Bowe dropping the title in the trash rather then facing Lewis has got to be the no.1 duck of all time, even if this is just a thread to throw out the name of the fighter you hate the most. I would say however Collins runs a very close second with him and Joe Calzaghe.

bull****, Eamonn Magee was better and ranked higher than Witter so Hatton fought him, it was a toss up between the two, after that Witter fell into obscurity...give me one reason why Hatton feared Witter enough to avoid fighting him? cus he'd fought no-one and was an unknown? how terrifying....

    Khan and any dangerous opponent.

Bowe imo ducked Lewis, Sturm ducking Abraham, Ottke ducking Calzaghe, Pac ducking slick boxers... That's about all I can think of in recent years. If Floyd ever ducked a fighter like Cotto, I'd ban myself from liking Floyd the fighter.

:patsch:patsch:patsch You could just as easily state that the other way round. Just because two people don't fight does not mean either is ducking. Jones and Toney were happy fighting on the U.S. circuit and Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe etc... fighting their own guys. Rarely the twain shall meet (Benn-McClellan excepted), however, does not mean there was a duck on either side. It is a duck where a fighter turns down a reasonable offer for the fight with no good reason IMO.

The first of these is clearly the correct answer to this thread. This is officially the #1 duck of all time! The second I am not sure about, Collins and Calzaghe didn't fight because Collins retired, I would never blame a man for that. This is a hard game and if your heart isn't in it anymore it's time to get out before you get hurt.

Oh, please. Those Euros were full of excuses. Joe C was always "injured." Eubank turned into some distinguished gentleman/dignitary with his whole, "What, me - fight? . . . Did you see that? He just talked about my mother" shtick. I'm like, "Ay, caramba!" you're a ****in' boxer for chrissakes, stop pretending like you don't wanna fight. What a ****in' mamaluke! Oh, and Collins, he was just under the ****in' radar. You couldn't find that dude with a high-powered telescope and some binoculars. Benn claimed he didn't really wanna fight anymore after he rabbit-punched McClellan into a semi-vegatative state. I don't know, man. Sounds like a bunch of sissies if you ask me.

Collectively I didn't hear not near one of them call out either Toney or RJJ. Toney used to call those women out whenever and they never said diddly squat!

Lewis ducked both John Ruiz and Chris Byrd. He vacated titles rather than face those guys and it's not like there was some huge fight for him on the horizon at the time.

Lennox was faced with two mandatories at the time Ruiz & Michael Grant.
Grant at the time was considered the next champ by many. Lennox chose to meet Grant , if he picked Ruiz he'd have been accused of ducking Grant.
Lennox demolished Grant and could have easily demolished Ruiz too the same night.
    Lennox never ducked anyone

Bearing in mind Ruiz hadn't done **** since being iced by Tua.... yet somehow was WBA mandatory - I think Lewis was entitled to drop the title and look elsewhere.

The Byrd fight would have been interesting.... was this before or after Tyson?

    I cannot remember!
