I wouldnt exactly say he was on "***** street" - he was hurt momentarily in the 7th but I wouldnt say badly and it doesnt compare to the distress that Sexton was in in the 6th and 8th.

I think Rogan had that fight in the bag and then all of a sudden he decides to be mister nice guy despite hitting people in the head for a living. I'd certainly be backing him to win second time round having learnt from his mistakes and taking no prisoners.

Are you seriously saying being undefeated isn't a positive psychological aspect with some fighters? I'll tell you what, read Chris Eubank's autobiography and tell me being undefeated isn't empowering. Do you realise how many careers instantly fade away once the unbeaten streak at the beginning goes? Now STFU.

I don't think Rogan buys into all that psychological stuff, he is a no nonsense kind of man. He will have the knowledge that Sexton did not beat him, like he said in his post fight interview.
It was a combination of suspect tactics and bad reffing that beat him, not Sexton.

Suspect tactics? He knows no other way to fight

And it's not "psychological" as in something that happens consciously - a lot of fighters don't feel as motivated after their first defeat. They no longer feel invincible - and it shows in their training and confidence. Sure, they may say the right things, but it's never the same. Of course, many fighters actually do come back stronger, but I don't think Rogan, at his age, will be one of them.

I don't know, look at all the support Rogan has got since the defeat, that will give him the extra motivation he needs in the rematch.
I agree that after a loss a lot of fighters also lose their spark or whatever but it's not as if Rogan was Ko'd or out boxed over the distance, he was stopped due to the eye when he was on top in the fight.

I was talking about Rogan, not some kid thats getting smoke blown his arse from someone like yourself. You can find all the reasons you want why Rogan will lose, but i hope you will be man enough to admit you were wrong when Rogan does a number on Sexton next time round.:D

    eubank + rogan = 0(comparison)

eubank was a ego fighter, he was the king of the world and ****ing loved every min of it.

rogan doesnt care about his record...he just so happens to of not lost proffesionally. very no nonsence type of guy...i doubt we will see roggie vault the ropes and strut into the ring and wear monacle while dropping peeps off in his taxi.

Sexton will be catching flies in the re-match. He will be dangerous in the early rounds, but this time will get sparked shortly after the bell rings for round 6. Plus, he wont have fond memories of the Belfast cauldron.

I'd say rogan was there for the taking when he was hurt.He backed off and looked completely done

if rogan changed his ring name to 'rocky rogan' and he beat sexton in a rematch, the americans would love all that....and he'd make a fortune in his next fight...in america.

I hope I'm wrong, I'd like nothing more than to see Rogan come back from adversity and go further in his career.

But I won't be wrong. I said Rogan would lose against Sexton first time round, and it will happen again.

my thought exactly, everytime sexton threw the right hand it hurt rogan, if sexton is more aggressive next time i can see a stoppage before the eighth
