Why not? It wouldn't be the first time someone moved down permanently after a satisfactory (or better) performance at a higher weight.

yeah..this is how roach marks his plan. Drain the opponents.

    just go for mayweather!!

So basically he is getting the 2 of them to bidding against each other for the lowest weight which would give pac the biggest advantage. Roach is a smart guy.

Great Point - The weight classes are already established. Fuch the catchweight bull****, its either all or none.

On fight night - nobody is at that "catchwight" anyways.

    Nobody's making him do anything.

If he doesn't want to fight welterweights, then he shouldn't.

Hell, even Floyd didn't tell everybody "cut off your nuts and meet me at 143".

if pac wants a fair fight then just fight those at 140 or those who can make that weight with ease. There is no point at all fighting bigger men but handicapped, it doesn't look good imo and we already had dlh as an example for that

Floyd instead made a 140 fighter move up to 147, fought Judah who could still make 140 and the slowest man in the world Baldomir.

Floyd wouldn't even think of fighting Mosley and Cotto at 147.

yeh i think Roach's offer of 142 is already being over generous, i personally would tell them to **** off, 140 or nothing.

But I've heard that it's Mosley and Cotto that want to fight Pac, well everyone wants a piece of Pac.
So why should Pac have to go up to 147 to fight them? it's bull****, Pac is the $$$$$ not them.
