After coming through 2 great fights (Appleby and Mathews), I would like to see Martin make a couple more defences of his British title, before moving onto European level. Preferably these would take place at the Ulster Hall (brilliant venue). All this talk of world championship fights should be forgotten about until at least the end of 2010.

    What do yiz reckon?

Yeah, too early too move onto Euro level. He should first look to win the Lonsdale belt outright. Make defences against the likes of Simpson, Truscott etc. Certainly not easy fights and Lindsay will learn a lot in those matchups.

Then as you say he should move onto Euro and hopefully World level.

hes getting on age-wise and Cristobal Cruz is ass, have no problem with them going through with that one if they are still thinking about it. A fight with Oleg Yefimovych for the European title is an ideal next step.

theres decent domestic fights for him. Simpson, Truscott, Bhatia. Fight those 3 then move onto European title. The euro champion Yefimovych is nothing special.

A massive fight for him would be Dunne moving up in weight.

Dunne would have too much for Lindsay at the moment but after a few more fights, who knows.
I think he should defend his title against Bhatia or Simpson next then go for the EBU title.

Dunne would be stronger at featherweight and would probably have better punch resistance too. He has the edge in skills so I'd take Dunne winning on points.
It would be an exciting fight if it ever happened.

I thought Dunne was struggling to make weight before the Cordoba fight he actually looked bad going in but that was the best i have ever seen him

Yeah there were rumours that he was struggling to make weight but as you say he looked in the best shape of his life.
I would say he will move up to featherweight after maybe 1 or 2 more fights though.
I would like to see Lindsay fight Patrick Hyland at some point and the winner could take on Dunne.
