Are you totally out of your mind??? How the hell is that cherrypicking??? Floyd is a 147 pounder who only fight class B fighters at that weight or fighters that are way past their best days. Now he comes back and is asking stupid amounts of money to fight guys that belong @ 135lbs.
Pacquaio is at the very most a 140lbs. He is asking the 2 top fighters at 147lbs to come down if they want to fight him. That seems very fair to me

Because if he does not fight Pac, people will never give him credit as p4p king.

In other words, he has no interest in the fights. That's fine.

How do you figure? People are already questioning how he can call himself p4p in spite of Pac's accomplishments. If floyd were to beat Pac - then fight a solid welterweight - there would be no question about his status.

Thats because he was forced to....If he didnt want to follow Oscar's demands he wouldnt have never gotten that payday...Now that he's the man, he's the one who is calling the shots.

Floyd doesn't need to defeat Pacquiao, a smaller man, to be considered p4p king. If he wanted to, in 12 months time he could try to defeat Cotto and Mosley for WW supremacy, and move up to 154 and beat PW. If he would win those fights clearly, then I and everyone else will give it to him. Is he good enough to do all that? my guess is no. But I'd be the first one to be happy if he did do it, and I'd give him his props too.

p4p is not some belt you wear around your waist that you have to win off the former champion in the ring.

True - and I agree that if somebody calls him out, they should meet his terms. But if he's calling them out - he should compromise.

Ok. Let's make something clear. Pacquiao and DLH didn't fight at 154lbs. Oscar was 145lbs and Manny was 142lbs. That was a calculated risk. They knew Oscar was past his prime and coming down to that weight wasn't going to be easy for him. That doesn't take anything away from Manny. Mosley and Cotto are the top dogs at 147lbs right now. But Manny controls the money. IS very clear!!! Do you want the money???? I fight you!!! Come down to my weight. The only think I don't agree is why Mosley 142lbs but Cotto 140lbs. It should be both the same. But when you are going to fight bigger guys you have to know your limitations. Don't go crazy with the P4P bull****. This is like when Roy Jones became heavyweight champion. He fought John Ruiz. He knew he wasn't fighting a prime Mike Tyson.

I see your point - but still would like to see him and Pac battle it out. Regardless of p4p status, I would just like to see the fight.

I dont have a problem with a catch weight...after all is up to the fighters to take the fight or not, they know the risks and their limitations.

What I have a problem with is, i these fighters Cotto or Mosley decide to fight Pac at 140-142 and Pac happens to win, he shouldnt be recognized as a 7 time title belt holder...Not a at catch weight, even if a "belt" is on the line. If he wants to solidify his legacy and be a 7 time title holder,do it a 147.
