Im pretty sure Roach/Arum will wait till the floyd-marquez bout happens before making any decisions so all this cotto/mosley vs pac is just rumors atm.
I doubt if this fight happens. As nice as it would be for Mosley - Pac has bigger fights and purses out there. Shane looked so good against Margarito - that he's in no man's land now. Very sad - you would have thought there was something out there for him by now. All the top guys are being matched up. The best thing I can come up with is - go after the winner of the Cotto/Clottey fight - since the winner of JMM/Mayweater will end up fighting PacMan.
If I were Mosley, I would avoid PW like the plague. However, I think Mosley matches up very favorably with Pacquaio, and I think Mosley has a damn good chance against Mayweather, too.
I think PW is an easier fight for Mosley than both Pacquiao and Mayweather. Not that PW is not a good fighter, but I just think Mosley would figure him out
Well, I think the easiest fight for Mosley, out of those 3, is definitely Pacquiao. Pac is susceptible to a good straight right, and Mosley has an outstanding right hand. To be fair, Mosley is equally susceptible to a good left, but in a battle of straight punches, I like Mosley all day long. He will have an easier time finding the mark with his right than Pac will with his left and I'd be shocked if Pac made it out of the 5th round. I think Mosley COULD beat PW, but at the same time, I think Mosley will have a lot of problems if he cannot hurt PW early. If he can't gain Paul's respect and slow him down, he will be in for a long night. Mayweather would probably be the most difficult fight for Mosley to win, but he would definitely look good against Floyd, even in a losing effort.
They are just jumping the gun on this one. Pacquiao knows Mosley is not Hoya at this point and he ain't Hatton at 140. That would be too much risk and he doesn't need to risk it anymore after having done twice against Hoya coming from 135 pounds and against Hatton, same thing Floyd had done... So Manny will not even take the winner of Cotto-Clottey, Berto-Urango or Shane, he's waiting his turn for Mayweather like Roach pointed out. Arum speaks too much.
Ï'd give Mosley a 70% chance to beat Pac, and around 50% to beat Mayweather, but zero % chance he fights any of them
Paul Williams is a nightmare match-up for anyone! Shane would probably beat Pacquiao if he was not completely starched from making a catch-weight. If he were to get the fight which would be cool, him and Money should fight after that. Two big fights for Shane to end his career on. :rasta
