Yep. I'm not a huge Lewis fan, but I learned to appreciate him over time. The big difference between Lewis and Wlad is, Lewis is willing to go toe to toe with a banger and almost always comes out on top and usually wins by knockout. He did so against Bruno, Vitali, Briggs, Ruddick, just to name a view. The guy was hurt by 3 out of 4 of them early in their fights, but never went down and got the knockout in the end against all 3. Wlad doesn't know how to fight back, he just clinches and panics, or falls several times. The guy will never be the fighter Lennox was.

Akinwande-Lewis perhaps? Aside from Henry knocking Lewis down at one point I would say it was worse than Ibragimov-Klitschko.:D

Akinwande looked like Wlad that night, he was holding onto Lewis for dear life most of that fight. I still love seeing McCall lay his ass out at the end of their fight, a fight that McCall was losing.

Did you ever watch the Levi Billups fight? Or Marvovic? Or the first Holyfield fight? Of course you already mentioned Tua.

Don't think I'm an anti-Lewis person because I'm quite the opposite. It's just that there's a definite pattern with these heavyweight champs after Steward starts training them that boxing fans, especially the casual ones who will stop watching boxing if they see a boring fight, see his fighters as boring.

You ask the question about either fighter before Steward had them and you'll be hard pressed to find someone who considered them "boring".

Actually that Akinwande knock-down is something I like to remind Zakman of from time to time when he says Lewis never got off the floor to win :D

Legitimate knock-down? I thought it was personally, same as the VITLAY-Sanders one, but that doesn't suit certain peoples agendas, which suits me fine.

You are right though, Lewis/Akinwande was boring but you can hardly put the blame on Lewis for that, it'd be like blaming Tyson for the Bone-clutcher fight. You can blame WALDO for fighting like a ***** against Sultan though, because I said so and what I say goes around here

Wasn't that McCall/Akinwande fight on the undercard of a Lewis fight? I might be wrong but that's how I remember it....
