I believe the guy is trying to say that if Mayweather beats Pac-man then then giving a lesser fighter the accolade of "best fighter of the decade" is indeed stupid, all it really means is that for a decade he didn't fight the best and lose to him.

Now he has to fight ALL 3 & not only beat all 3 but do so decisively ?

You Pac fans come up with more ridiculous **** each & every time, keep it up tho, its a good laugh.

What is the big deal about fighting 3 top challengers. WTF? Floyd should have been doing this **** a long time ago.

Pac fought Barrera, JMM and Morales in a span of 16 months... moving up 2 weight classes in the process.

    Whats with the double standards?

He also fought Dela Hoya and Hatton within 6 months. Peoples will say Oscar this Oscar that, Hatton this Hatton that but at the time he signed to fight, I though his career was over. There was no doubt in my mind that Oscar left hook was going to land, the only question was when. These were super huge risk that Manny took and he conquer them. That my friend is fighter of the decade.

Mayweather retiring has got to be one of the factors as well.

That's very true, if Mayweather would have cleaned out the 147 and take a couple fights at 154 i'm sure he would have taken fighter of the decade. His skill was far superior than the rest. The only thing is that he stopped short before his career defining fight in Cotto and Margarito. I don't think peoples would have care if he he had to run, they just wanted to see him in the ring with these guys.

funny what a couple years difference can make in how a fighter is viewed. 2 years ago there were dozens of fans convinced floyd was the best ever and now he has little chance at becoming fighter of the decade. floyd decided to put money first and he got what he was after and in the process became half the man he always wanted to be. pac went after glory and became twice the man everyone thought he could be.

He might be fighter of the decade, but, Floyd would take him to school.

If MAB and Pac never faced each other, many if not most posters here would pick MAB over Pac in a 126 lbs. fantasy match up. Seriously.

And I know their reasons for picking MAB would be perfectly reasonable and plausible, and would make sense.

it's not ridiculous actually. though beating them decisively is too much to ask, a simple win will be ok. floyd should be fighting guys his size and not small fighters if he wants to be acknowledged as fighter of the decade. hell floyd himself didn't want to be the p4p king, and just wants to be called the "cash king". he doesn't care for his legacy as much as you floyd fans do.
