haha damn, should have known i was arguing with pac nuthuggers. alright, maybe dominated is a strong word, lol. anyway, i scored, the 2nd fight 114-113 in favor of Marquez and i don't remember what I scored the first fight. I think I had manny by 1 point because of the 10-6 round. but come on, i aint the only one that believes marquez overall had the better fight both times. it takes a lot to overcome a 10-6 deficit, and marquez did it. and in my eyes marquez won the 2nd fight, as u can see how i scored it above. again, if you judge the fight solely on what michael buffer says at the end, that's fine, but i tend to judge it on what actually took place during the 12 rounds. do i agree with the judges' results? no... and that's both ways. i gave pac the first fight and marquez the 2nd. but overall, i think marquez had the better of manny throughout the whole fight both times.
anyway, there is my opinion, you pac huggers can keep picking at it and try to spin it in your favor any way you like, but i'm not gonna read anymore comments or respond from here on out... not because i wouldn't mind, but i got a final to study for, so... yeah. peace out homies!
here's my take. jmm may be the better boxer than manny. but he certainly is not the better fighter. take away the ref, and he would have been pounded to the canvas for good. which is the reason why jmm can never do mma. pac is the best fighter pound for pound while jmm is the best boxer pound for pound. i hope that both sides are now appeased.
btw, there have been a lot of questionable decisions in the history of boxing but you dont here about it discussed "eternally" in the boxing forums. its like beating a dead horse. peace.
clearly, despite what the topic states, none of the posters even debated why mayweather is the best. it became a discussion of who won jmm-pac fights. everyone has clearly digressed from the topic which is why this thread should be ended.
But in the record it says 1 draw and 1 loss. 3 knockdowns in the first fight and a 4th on the second.
Who cares if he got dropped four times? Three of those times were in the opening round. It's not like he knocked him down all through the fight? The fact that he got a draw speaks volumes about Marquez' ability.
