This thread encapsulates everything that is great about Flint Island.

He's going straight to the HOF.

I can well imagine his brother Fat Joe, shaking his bare head in disbelief.

Me and Flint have had our ups and downs (culminating in me being banned unfairly and Flint banned in retrospect).

However I have the utmost respect for Flint as a poster.

Flint is spot-on here. He and his brother and 2 of the few who can see straight through Wicky and all his bollocks. That number is growing though, no doubt.

so Wicky is a working class boy who has made money....so what? Aren't most people on here working class too? who cares? And plenty will have made enough money too. What's the big ****ing deal?

he certainly didn't look like a working class man-of-the-people Man City fan at the derby the other week, sitting chatting to Rio Ferdinand in a VIP area. 'I like me guinness, me mates down the pub, me darts, me private jets and me private box at Man City......'
He likely isn't even a proper City fan....probably just picked up on a nororiously large, success-starved fan base and manipulated it to his own benefit, that's what the Hattons 'are all about' after all.

    the ****?:huh

to pick up on your post earlier about how Ricky is a great guy and the likes of Toney, Tarver are twats.........i think it's time you started opening a book instead of just gazing at the cover. You probably think Oscar DLH is a 'great guy' too. Most people are very easily fooled, sadly.

TPPF - are you still doing Se Asia?

As for Hatton's fanbase, I am the only one who noticed that when he fought Lazcano it was clear the fanbase had gone way beyond the supposed "football crowd/sun reader" everyone lazily waffles on about? He seemed to be now attracting the prawn sandwich brigade. Many of the crowd appeared to be neither football or boxing fans.

he's from Manchester. Manchester's people are chavs. He's a man of the people. Seems simple enough to me...

I think he's an annoying, arrogant **** - but he seems genuine and his desire to put on a show for his fans meant he was always aggressive. Can't fault him for that and people loved him, right or wrong.

Yup. Hatton gets 30,000 man city fans to watch him every time he fights. They'd watch him even if he spent his whole career fighting bums. They love him. He wears Man City shorts and comes to the ring to Blue Moon, the Man City song.
