No contest, Riddick Bowe ducking Lennox Lewis. It was an agreed upon fight with Bowe shitting himself after Lewis destroyed Ruddock. Bowe has not receive enough grief for this chicken **** move.

 

To those claiming Hatton's "ducking" of Witter: Witter didn't deserve the chance to fight Hatton quite frankly.

Anyhow, Bowe ducking Lewis was so blatant it's funny.

 

yes and no. personally i think bowe would of fought anybody but it has to do alot with rock, bowe's manager. always wanted to get the best buck and if delaying a unification fight for another year got it then he was dropping his fighters belt in the trash can

 

Knowing how precious Jose Sillyman is though....

He wouldn't have let Bowe contest a WBC title fight again!

actually it was michael nunn who was there with don king for almost a whole year.michael was fighting in the uk and training and showing his face at every press confrence imaginable. the idea being that the winner of the eubank-benn II fight was gonna take on nunn for 3 world titles. and hopefully getting toney in on the action if he showed interest (which james as good as he was seemed really uninterested on travelling to london or manchester).



great how nunn totally avoids the interveiwers answer on the benn-eubank II prefight on who's gonna win to which nunn who clearley doesnt want to say a fighters name because it might screw up a unification fight simply says...."it's gonna be a great fight" thats all he said with every and any question. funny stuff.

There is absolutely no evidence that Calzaghe offered Pavlik a fight after Lacy. Furthermore, after Joe spent 6 months calling Kelly out, he turned around and said he wasn't a big enough name. Now that's interesting. According to Joe, he offered Kelly a fight back when his best win was Zuniga, and yet, after Kelly beat Miranda, and beat Taylor twice, he wasn't a big enough name. Very few people expected Pavlik to score a clear UD over Taylor. Once that happened, Joe wanted nothing to do with Kelly.

 

After PAvlik got his ass kicked by Hop, does anyone in their right mind think Calzaghe ever ducked Pavlik??? Pav fans are just as bad as PAc fans lol...

 

Some would definitely argue RJJ ducked Darius M. for a decade.

I am not a Pavlik fan and I always thought that Calzaghe would school him, but it's clear to see that Joe wanted nothing to do with him. Saying that, the Monday after the Hopkins fight I had my best mate telling me Pavlik would take Joe out in 5 atsch

Lewis had a lot of duckers in the 90's that were pretty obvious..Alotta people including fighters themselves were naming fighters who didn't want Lewis at all!
