Just b/c you didn't "say" it, doesn't mean you didn't think it. I stated PAC would be beaten by Oscar convingingly, possible by KO. After the fight I ate crow but I was vocal about my predicition. When the Hatton fight came round I knew PAC would dominate...just not that quickly. Many who predicted DLH to beat PAC (like me) declined to predict the Hatton fight or if they did side with Hatton said it would be PAC toughest challenge. Either way PAC does have the nack of surprising critics and even fans.

Cotto can and does box... not just bang.

Cotto isn't as flat-footed... (though that's where I think it's interesting because Pacquiao is very light on his feet... and you have to wonder whether Cotto can deal with that + the attached bullet straight-lefts!).

And Cotto IS a lot faster than ppl give him cred for (Judah and Mosley fights not show you this?). Cotto has improved quite a bit since he was a light-welterweight. (Though that improvement is nothing compared to Freddie Roach's G-Fawteen classified; Project: Pacman). Cotto is MUCH faster than Hatton when he wants to be.

We should get rid of super/junior divisions:

    Heavyweight
    Cruiserweight
    Light Heavyweight
    Middleweight
    Welterweight
    Lightweight
    Featherweight
    Bantamweight
    Flyweight

If Pac thinks he’s the next Floyd he should take on any man who can make 147.

I never said he didn't have a chance. I said that's it's different than the last two fights, and more difficult I think.

Yes, you are right DLH did force the fight. What do you think is more detrimental to an athlete to gain 12 lbs of muscle or to lose 12 lbs of muscle?

Manny was weighing in at almost the WW limit on fight night @ the 135 lb divisions. DLH hadn't made that weight for over 12 yrs.

Manny and Roach capitalized on the fact that DLH was a cash cow and they knew that he would overexcert himself by making the WW limit and they placed additional pressure on him by adding million dollar fines per pound over the 147 lb limit.

If Roach did not know or believe that ahead of time he would have not let Manny anywhere near DLH.

Cotto doesn't KO anyone with one shot....neither does Hatton. They break their opponents down. At 140 Hatton and Ricky were KOing everyone by simply breaking down their foes with an onslaught of offense. Both have similar KO percentage...actually I think Hattons is better.

No, I said Pacquiao would knockout ODLH in 9 rounds when the fight was just being mentioned as a possibility. I didn't think Hatton would be difficult to knockout either.

I bet the fight would take place at 143...I dunno if Cotto would be that strong at 143 though..I mean he makes 147 usually around 146.5 but still thats alot of weight in that final 3.5 lbs

The thing is, i think roach is just bullshiting right now. Real talks about this fight will begin after cotto/clottey fight and things might even change after the PBF-JMM fight.

If I was Cotto I'd worry about Clottey and forget about Pac. Cotto will have problems if he gets down to 142.
