kelly pavik is overrated

Pav is severely overrated by his fans, but he is still a very effective, although somewhat limited boxer. No one is perfect. Bad matches and mistakes happen. Everyone has a bad day at the office, so I wouldn't hold the BHop fight against him.

His biggest problem is his promoter. And until he gets away from Arum, he will continue to lose fans.

Cotto and Clottey both need to leave immediately. And Pavlik needs to drive the getaway car.

Don King isn't so bad if you only let him promote, and never let him become you financial adviser at the same time. GBP ain;t that bad, although they don;t pay their fighters all that much...

Who knows? Right now Arum is probably the worst of all of them.

 

I dont think that Pavlik is over rated at all. Hopkins was just the wrong fight for him. Hopkins even at his age is a truth finder. If you cant do more then one thing is the ring Hopkins will beat you. Kelly needs to work on other things, being able to cut off the ring, fighting going backwards, and becoming a more fluid with his combo's. I think that others like Kelly would meet the same end vs Hopkins, fighters like Kessler. You have to not only outwork hopkins but you have to be able to do it in different ways, coming forward, going backwards and on angles.

 

So the rematch with Taylor wasn't a big fight?

Disposing of his mandatorie wasn't important?

Don't let this come as to much of a shock to you, but you can't remain champ if you don't fight your mandatories.

Arum is full of ****. niether Cotto or Pavlik were happy with the last guys that they fought, but Arum didnt care, he is only looking out for his best interest and not that of his fighters. Just think about how hard he worked to stop the fight between Williams and Margo, or how he wouldnt make the fight for Cotto with floyd. Arum trys to make sure that his interests are good no matter which fighter wins, which is the reason that making the AA fight has been so hard. I think that he would be better off with either King or GBP or even Duva.

 

I honestly think that he's a good fighter. Just got exposed at not being invincible. Your saying Pavlik was overrated, but at the same time your discrediting Hopkins.

 

He is not overrated, he is a good fighter with a lot of pontential. In my opinion he needs to change his trainer and promoter.

Pavlik just signed a new contract through 2010 I believe. We shall wait and see what Cotto does, but Arum is dangling Pac in front of him. And Pac? How much of a difference is there between Pac and Marquez other than management? Who is the superstar?

 

If anything right now Pavlik is UNDER RATED because of his off night with Bhop and Bhop is the one OVER RATED because of it. Pavlik's problems that night have been documented.
