I agree. Doesn't make a lot of sense when there are alternative venues within an hours drive. He wouldn't be giving up any 'home advantage'.

Bute will get big respect if he agrees to fight in the UK.

If held in UK I can't see it anywhere other than in Nottingham, either at the Arena(7000) or football ground(30,000) My money would be on Arena as can't see Froch v Bute being big enough for a football ground

i see the fight being big enough, but not sure if they would be allowed at 2am in an open air arena. I reckon City Ground would be more like 40,000.

Well, since Bute can pack a stadium, and ranked higher by every magazine and expert, no need for him to travel. Respect if he does, but what's the point fighting at 2AM local time in front of a significantly smaller crowd if he could pack a stadium at 11PM in his hometown? Makes no sense to me, but bring it on.

Sounds suspicious and brit papers most times make things up but anytime, anywhere this fight would be good.

Those 7,000 tickets would sell out fast and I'd have to make sure I had one of them. Kind of hope it happens in Montreal though, I think I could persuade the missus that we should make a holiday around it.

He pulls a big crowd in Montreal,' he said. 'We're talking about 15,000-20,000 fans. But with the Canadian dollar the way it is, if you work it out in comparison, it's probably the same as getting 7,000 in the Nottingham Arena.

Geez. You would think they would base ticket prices accordingly in Canada. Brits make 2 to 3 times as much as Canuks? :think
