people gotta stop complaining about the fight being at welter. marquez called floyd out not vice versa and floyd would be dumb to jump in against a big top welter that's been active after almost 2 years out... he's fighting the #2 p4p fighter in the world for ta tune up...that's pretty impressive, if he chose to get a belt in his tune up verses someone like berto people would be even more critical. i'll hold my judgement on floyd cherry picking when i see the path he takes after the marquez tune up if he wins.

Isn't it great? And to give the *******s credit, they were saying for weeks before the fight that this is exactly what would happen. Manny wins by KO, therefore Hatton was shot.

I thought they were just being crybabies based on the Mexican triumvirate all being clearly older, but they were right on the money. :-(

    Sounds like excuses to me.

I wonder why he feels he has to justify him taking longer than Pac to KO Hatton :think

Also, he and Marquez aren't the best 2 fighters in boxing right now, they are 2nd and 3rd best. Manny is the best.

Simple.... Mayweather is an artist boxer that puts defence high on his list.... Pacquiao is an attacking whirlwind that comes forward & has no problem getting hit to land his own.

Just see the Ali-Frazier-Foreman-Norton scenario & you`ll know what I mean.

If the lay-off hasnt affected Mayweather, if he is the same guy that outclassed Hatton, then believe me, Pac will have to settle for 2nd place.

Floyd wasn't motivated for the Hatton fight which is why it took so long to knock him out. Remember, Floyd retired AFTER the Oscar fight. He then saw an easy payday in Hatton, & retired again. If Hatton had not called him out, the Oscar fight would have been his last fight until he came back.

Until PBF beats JMM and Pac, he isn't #1. Manny is.

Manny looked sharp & at his best to me at 147, surely Mayweather is allowed to be at his best also.... or is FMJ so good that something must be taken away from him ?

    :think

Because its up to the boxers if they both want 8 oz golves, plus they changed that rule last year, Mayweather-Hatton was in 2007
