Back up Noob -- Rubio was the WBC mandatory, and he EARNED the right to be there. You claim you want to see Abraham/Pavlik. How much chance would there be of it ever happening if KP got stripped for not fighting a mandatory? NONE! You think AA is going to suddenly go from voluntary defenses against guys like Ayala and Simon to a voluntary defense against Pavlik? I rather doubt it. A shot at unification is Arthur's motivator. Without that Sauerland would not let him go near Pavlik.

The accusation that Pavlik is afraid of losing to AA clearly shows that you have not followed the situaton at all. Pavlik actually seems to hold AA in fairly low regard. He basically said he's a good fighter who shows a lot of vulnerability. He said Arthur likes to make himself look like a big shot by talking smack, but when it comes to negotiations AA does not seem serious. That doesn't sound like fear to me. In fact when KP was on OTG he sounded rather contemptuous of abraham.

The pay out is the problem. Pavlik got $2.5 million for Gary freaking Lockett, and $3 million for Hopkins. You think he should take less for Abraham?

Abraham currently avarages around $600K per fight, but he wants way up into 7 figures to fight Pavlik. The truth is he would be a fool to take the fight for less than $1.5 million and a cut of the TV money.

You're looking at around $5 million just to pay Kelly and Arthur. After that you have to pay the guys on the undercard, pay for advertising and promotion, referees, judges, commentators, production costs. taxes, permits, et. Do you think Arum and Sauerland can just pull the money out of their asses, or do you expect HBO to foot the bill for two fighters who are only well known to hardcore fans?

Tell me precisely what you saw in Abraham's last fight that allows you to maintain the delusion that Pavlik is afraid of Abraham.

One more time with feeling. Why should Pavlik's career be dictated by Abraham's weight? Sounds to me like AA is already past making middle comfortably so people will use that as an excuse when AA loses anyhow.
