I was just thinking about this.... I wonder if floyd even wants to continue boxing... i feel like he might have came back just to prove people wrong....he wants to be truly acknowledged as the best and nobody will give him that title

Probably not...but it's what he knows, what he's good at and it's how he makes money.

I think he's only fighting Marquez and then maybe Pacquiao to make some money then retire again.

He's a Boxer and with most of them - that's all they know how to do - FIGHT. So, I really think he started missing the Sport - the Limelight - and the Money. If you ever talk to anyone that had any type of fame - they will tell you it's very addicting. This is where he shines the most.

Take RJJ for example - he's no where what he used to be - but all he knows how to do is fight. So even at the age he's at and no longer really able to perform how he used too - he still continues to fight on. Looking to get back to the top - which isn't going to happen. He's an addict and it's something that hard to shake.

Mayweather being in his early 30's - is truly addicted to the Spotlight and attention. So - Yes - he missed the sport - and will continue fighting for about the next 3 to 4 years. Unless he's KTFO twice.

    Jeff's right - he's missed it

But since he's come back, people are wanting to see him in with todays Elites

He still has a colossal marque namne - lets hope he gets in with guys who have a slight chance of beating him!

ego, he WAS the p4p bets fighter in the world. then pac came and took that distinction. now he objective is to beat pac-man and take it back. and he probably is gonna go back into retierement after that.

His "objective" is probably to try and still Pac's thunder by beating the guy a lot of people feel beat Pac and hoping that for this, people will call him the #1 PFP fighter......................and make some quick mint doing this.

I have serious doubts that PBF/Pac will ever take place.

    Money, ego, limelight, adrenaline rush.

It's his identity, he's been boxing his whole life.

I think he still is unsure about that himself.
If he can't produce against JMM the results he feels he should.
(Or if JMM can change his plans by beating him)

I defo would not be surprised to hear him say "Peace" to boxing again.
One & done, should he look bad or lose.

too much money will be on the line for a pbf/pac not to happen. and the general boxing fan with this mayweather is the greatest modern day fighter if he beats pac. once again, feeding that great ego.
