Why are people saying Mayweather is cherry picking a smaller fighter when Marquez is the exact same height as him, both are round about 5"8. Just because Floyd has fought and beat bigger opponents does not mean he should be criticised for fighting people the same size as him.

What about when he fights Pacquiou, everyone is screaming for that fight, Pac is 5"6, will Mayweather be picking on a smaller guy then too?

C'mon man everybody needs to stop moaning, Fact is Marquez is one of the best p4p in the world who gave Pacquiou two amazing bouts.

Because he's making Marquez fight 22 pounds north of the weight he last fought at.

Because Mayweather has been fighting 2 to 3 weight divisions above Marquez for a while.

Actually I don't even think the difference will be that significant in the ring. It seems like most fights recently that have been knocked as mismatches beforehand due to size haven't been the case. The 30-32 hour weigh-in procedure and weight cutting has sort of ****ed things up to an extent.

But Mayweather has been fighting bigger guys than JMM, and that's an advantage that PBF has (of course I said the same about Pac-Hatton and we saw how much that mattered).

It is a big jump but was that the case when Mayweather fought at 154?

    Was Dela Hoya cherry picking?

I wont' bother watching this fight, not going to even follow it. For all the millions Mayweather is making for this fight he should be fighting Pac, Cotto, Williams, etc., not go down and get a small fighter out of the small divisions. Will he get Ricardo out of retirement next?

This is exactly what i'm talking about, guys like this refusing to realise how good Marquez is, Marquez in my opinion beat the best p4p fighter in the world but because Mayweather is fighting him hes a tomato can all of a sudden?

The size difference isn't that much.

There is bigger size differences in fighters own divisions, the difference between Marquez and Floyd is small.

Floyd is bigger, yes. But this size difference is blown out of proportion. People are acting like he's Paul Williams against Marquez.

Marquez is awesome poundforpound, but it's still 10% less pounds!

Why doesn't Chad Dawson move up to fight Klitschko?

I was wondering when people would remember the discrepancy in size between Pac and Oscar. People said that fight shouldnt happen. I like this fight because Floyd is stepping in with a strong fighter who is much better than tune up quality. I would love to see Marquez flatten him, but I cant picture it.
I was a supporter of the Oscar- Pac fight and I support this one too, I cant wait to watch it!
