whats the deal with the fresh IV marks on Oscar's arm??

Apparently they rehydrated him after he stepped on the HBO scales on fight night. So the weight given on the tale of the tape wasn't accurate. Oscar also was chewing ice when he was walking to the ring.

 

They also had a helicopter flying over in case Oscar's heart blew up

 

Oscar also got Doogie Howser MD ring side seats. Thats the only doctor he trust

It's further proof that Roach only took the fight because he knew that De La Hoya was at a sizeable disadvantage.

They rehydrated him AFTER his "fight night weight" was weighed by ESPN in order to make it appear as though Oscar weighed less than Pacquiao in the ring. Team Golden Boy was trying to pull a fast one on the public, but it bit them in the ass severely.

 

I dont care if he was weight drained or dehydrated........and people can say Roach tok advantage of the situation, but they both signed the contract and are professionals. If OScar gambled and lost its his problem. Before the fight all I heard from experts was how oscar was going to blwo him out with the first punch he landed........hmmm... Didnt exactly go that way though!

 

Im still amazed about the weigh in. Roach weighted Pac before the weigh in and it was 145. Then when they went to the weigh in he was 142.
Then when he went back to the hotel he was 145 again! Amazing isn't?

So crap this dehydrated Oscar thing.

 

Oscar cheated on the scales in order to avoid the huge penalty payment of $3M per pound over 147 that was stipulated. Unfortunately the goons that tampered with the scales went too far and made it very obvious (They should've only shaved 2 lbs). Remember Pacquiao being confused about his supposed weight of 142 when he just weighed 146 on different scales prior to and post weigh in? Oscar was 149 at the time of the weigh in -- a 6 million FAIL. Fearing an investigation, team Golden Boy opted not to rehydrate Oscar overnight. Rather, they had him continue to cut until the unofficial weight was taken on Saturday and all suspicion of foul play could be denied. Then they jacked him with the IVs. Oscar looked like hell during the fight, but that was the $6M gamble he was willing to take.

Think about it. Manny being the smaller guy coming up in weight is unofficially 148 on fight night. What would be the point in him shedding 6 pounds to "make" weight?
