We need to remember that for several years when JMM was comfortably just staying at his comfort zone 126 lbs fighting the likes of Salido, Polo, Jandaeng (these fighters are so obscure I am not even sure if I am spelling their names correctly), Pac was going through divisions fighting the likes of MAB and Morales. Pac even had to accept a minimum purse and fight on a 2 week notice as a substitute against Barrera.

    Pac made all those sacrifces.

JMM stepped up his level of opposition these days because he has to..he had no choice. He stayed at 126 way too long and had been a ***** (at least his team is) in negotiating fights. I do not believe that JMM never had the chance to fight Naz, Morales, MAB, Tapia, Ayala, all these big names that went through the 126 lbs. If JMM really wanted to make the fight happen and willing to make slight sacrifices like Pac did against MAB, those fight would have happened.

yep. jmm did waste his time staying at 126 fighting the likes of salido, polo, jandaeng, jaca and losing to john. pac, on the other hand, went up to 130 and had his trilogy w/ morales and fights with velasquez, larios and solis in between. that's 2 1/2 years jmm wasted before finally going up to 130 to fight barrera. that's why he's making up for lost time now.

In other words, Marquez ducked these fighters when he was still in 126. He waited for them to retire or lose while he chose to fight unknown fighters like Jaca, Jandaeng, Salido, etc. Before the Diaz and Casa fights, his best performance was a draw w/ Pac.

Caca........when MAB was given a gift in the Morales rematch at 126 lbs for Morales' title......MAB vacated the belt because he did'nt want to face JMM.....

....when vacating the belt, MAB cited that he did'nt know whether he would stay at 126 lbs which he felt was un-natural to him, or go back to 122 lbs where he felt more comfortable.

.....when JMM who had been calling out MAB got a hold of what MAB had said about returning to 122 lbs, Marquez publicly noted, "I can make 122 lbs, I'll fight him at 122 lbs, not a problem."

MAB won Erik Morales' WBC featherweight title and did'nt want to keep it for fear he may have to fight JMM.....even with JMM saying he would drop to 122 lbs to fight MAB, Mab ignored it and while dropping the WBC belt, his bogus words of dropping back down to 122 lbs was just a front not to fight a real fighter.....MAB stayed at 126 lbs and instead of fighting a real fighter in JMM, fought hasbeens Johnny Tapia and Kevin Kelley!

.......yes, thats what the great MAB was all about back then!

Stick that where the sun dont shine you hear.......CACA!

Those types of fighters were the type JMM had no choice but to fight, because fighters like MAB did'nt have the balls to man up and fight skill.

......if it was'nt for Murad Muhamad who was out to bleed Manny Pacquiao, even Manny would not have fought JMM at that particular time......
.....you know the whole story Patsys......the first JMM-Pac fight was made against Freddie Roach's better judgement......Roach did not want ot match Pacquiao with JMM, but Murad Muhamad is the one that led Pac that way.

Yes, even Freddie Roach back then wanted to duck JMM!
.....you cant deny it because you know its the truth!!!:deal

Before Pac fight, JMM was an unknown quantity and what in the world will MAB duck him. Ducking is when JMM went to Indonesia to avoid an instant rematch w/ Pac.

Any links on this? Or, STFU!

What I know is that Roach believed that Marquez was slow and easy to hit. Having said that, why would he duck him.
