Pretty sure JMM picked Mayweather, not the other way around.

because jmm is the best, is mosley the best? I can't say he's the best welterweight either, he still has unfinish business with cotto and so is cotto, he needs to solidify himself from getting beat up by no skill bum cheator

NOpe the last welterweight to fight Prime WWs was Mayweather who beat Baldo and Judah.

Clottey weighs 160+ on fight night, Floyd weighs 147 on fight night, big difference. Plus Corrales was shot after Castillo 1 anyway

Marquez plans on weighing 145 on fight night and weighed 143-144 at LW. So a 145lb fighter against a 147lb fighter, that practically have the same height and reach

You're right. JMM called out Mayweather at his last fight. Even in the press conference before Pacs fight, Mayweather said Marquez called me out so I'm giving him his chance.

The weight has not been confirmed, but the last update is that both camps expect the weight to be at a 144 catchweight. Everything else is just rumor and assumption.

Cherrypicking yes! but Marquez did call him out though he's also been inactive for over a year. When you look at it like that it evens it out a bit.

I'm not that botherd as long as he fights a true welterweight afterwards.

Wrong again.......Marquez vs Juan Diaz officially weighed 135 lbs and was at 140 lbs by fight time.

Mayweather in his last fight vs Hatton, weighed 147 lbs officially and then 150 lbs fight time.

Thats a difference of 12 lbs officially, and 10 lbs fightime.

This is the task at hand for JMM.....not only will he be facing the best skilled fighter he's ever faced, but one who fought at 10 lbs above what he did in their last fights.

I believe its safe to say that Mayweather is naturally 10 lbs heavier than JMM.

If JMM beats Mayweather, which is possible, my goodness, its going to be one for the ages.:bbb
